How to Get Wailing Woods Chests Fast in Fortnite Battle Royale
One of the week two challenges in Fortnite Battle Royale’s Battle Pass tasks players with searching seven (yes, seven) chests in Wailing Woods. Any other location on Fortnite Battle Royale’s map and this would be fairly straightforward. Problem is, Wailing Woods doesn’t have a whole bunch of chests, and considering it’s early days, people are still crowding the dense forest. To give you a helping hand, we’ve compiled a few of Wailing Woods’ chest locations below, as well as a handy tip to get this challenge done and dusted far faster.
First off, let’s talk you through exactly where you want to be heading in Wailing Woods to get those chests. As you may have guessed, you want to head to the Watchtower, which can be seen from above in the open enclosure in the middle of Wailing Woods. At the very top of that, you’ll find a chest. The other two chests you can find in this central area of Wailing Woods can be found in the corners of the maze tucked away next to the trees. Just keep an eye out for that golden glow as you’re descending to pick one out.
There’s another way to get Wailing Woods chests in Fortnite Battle Royale than scrapping with 10 other players for three chests, though. This chest is actually just on the south edge of Wailing Woods, and is technically out from under the cover of the trees. You want to look for a cliff with one of the little watchtowers nearby. Inside, you’ll find a chest. Don’t just go and grab it. You’ll need to either build a ramp up from behind the building and smash through the back wall, or come at it from the side to the right of the door. With the chest in sight, sit as far down the ramp as you can while still being able to search it. Do so, and with a bit of luck, Fortnite Battle Royale will tick off another Wailings Woods chest on your Battle Pass challenge.
