Blue Symbols – Final Fantasy XV

As you’re completing quests, jumping into combat, and exploring the world of Eos in Final Fantasy XV, you may have noticed a small blue symbol appearing in a square at the bottom of your screen. The game doesn’t really tell you what it is, and while it doesn’t appear to do anything negative, it’s always nice to know what the gauge slowly depleting means, right?

Well, it turns out that these blue symbols at the bottom of your screen are there to show you how long you have left of a buff being active. If you ate some of those delicious-looking eggs the night before when camping, then that sweet HP bonus will be what’s slowly depleting in the gauge next to the cross-shaped blue symbol.

Of course, the more complex meals you make, you’ve got a better chance of providing you with a buff for longer. Be sure to experiment with what recipes you do have to get the best and longest lasting buffs. There are a number of different blue symbols to signify what kind of a buff you have. A sword will represent an attack buff, while a cross is an HP buff.

That’s all there is to those blue symbols at the bottom of the screen. For more tips, tricks, and guides for Final Fantasy XV, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki guide.
