How to Use Items in Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age

Recommended Videos

Items are an important part of Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, and you’ll definitely need to make use of them when you’re in lengthy dungeons with no save points in sight. To use items, all you have to do is press the X button to bring up your combat menu just as you would when you’re about to fight an enemy. Bring the cursor down to select the Items option, click on it, and you’ll see a full list of everything currently available for you to use. Simply choose the item you want to use, and then select the target you want to use it on.

Early on in the game, you’ll most likely be relying on Potions as you won’t have anyone in your party available to heal you up. Make sure to keep a healthy stock of Potions to stay alive. You’ll also be able to access your Ethers and Phoenix Downs through the Items menu, which allow you to restore MP and revive a fallen ally respectively. Don’t forget that save points will restore all HP and MP too.
