How to Fast Travel in Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
The world of Ivalice in Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is expansive and filled with different environments and cultures. There’s a lengthy adventure to be had in The Zodiac Age, and oftentimes you’l want to travel back to areas you’ve already been to. Luckily, Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age does have a fast travel system of sorts, although it’s probably not quite what you’re used to in more recent games.
Travel points in The Zodiac Age are marked by orange save crystals, instead of the usual blue ones. Any orange crystal marks a teleport point and touching it once immediately unlocks it for fast travel use. However, in order to use this fast travel teleport function, you will need to have Teleport Stones.
These stones can be picked up a few different ways, firstly as random drops from both monsters and human enemies. This isn’t a reliable way to get them, but you’re sure to pick up a few and there while you’re out. The way you’ll get most of your Teleport Stones in The Zodiac Age is by gaining clan ranks and taking on hunts. Every rank you gain, Montblanc will reward you with a few teleport stones and other items. Just undertake a decent amount of hunts and you’ll gain ranks in no time.
Later in the game you’ll also be able to purchase Teleport Stones to fast travel, first at the Muthru Bazaar in Rabanastre once your clan rank is high enough, and then secondly from a merchant on a Chocobo at the port of Balfonheim.
That’s all you need to know to teleport and fast travel in the game. For more tips and guides on Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, make sure to check back with Twinfinite.
