FIFA 21‘s incredibly popular Ultimate Team mode is arguably more about building your team than it is actually playing matches. As you earn coins, you’ll open packs, which are where the endorphin rush of FUT comes from. So that you can get a quick idea of what you’ve just got from the pack you opened, here’s everything you need to know about how to tell if it’s a board or walkout in FIFA 21 packs.
You’ll want to do this because it ramps up the excitement the moment you open a pack. Also, it allows you to skip a pack when there’s nothing of any note in it.
How to Tell If FIFA 21 Pack Is a Board or a Walkout
The first thing you need to look for is the three bars of light that appear on either side of the tunnel’s door. On the left-hand side, the right light will not come on if the packs DOES contain a walkout. If only the left two lights come on on that side, it’s time to get excited.
Then, no matter whether the light has come on or not, as the central door opens you’ll have a couple of things to look out for. If the light by the side of the door has stayed on, you’re still able to pack a board (83 to 85 rated player).
To see if you’ve got one, look for a large gold bar right at the end of the tunnel. If it’s not there, you’ll have a lower rated card and nothing to get hyped over.
If you’ve packed a special card, the color of the flares on the left or right will change to the color that matches the theme of the card type.
From that point on, both boards and walkouts act the same in FIFA 21 packs. As you move further down the tunnel, the flag of the player will appear, then their position will, finally followed by their club.
Then, if the player is 86+, they will walk out from behind or by the side of the card to celebrate.
That’s everything you need to know about how to tell if it’s a board or walkout in FIFA 21 packs. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to check out our wiki guide or search for Twinfinite.
