Patch 5.31 is officially available for Final Fantasy XIV players and while it isn’t exactly a big content drop like 5.3 was, it does still come with a bunch of cosmetic items you might want to pick up. There are new mounts, minions, outfits, and emotes to collect, and those are always nice. Here’s how to get the high five emote in FFXIV.
Getting the High Five Emote in FFXIV
The high five emote was added to the game just this week with the release of patch 5.31. It’s a pretty cute one that lets you interact with NPCs, enemies, and fellow players in different ways, but there’s just one caveat: you’ll need to have been keeping up with the Ishgard Restoration quests.
These quests require you to have leveled up crafters and gatherers so that you can effectively produce the items needed for quest turn-ins. If you don’t have crafters or gatherers, you could potentially purchase the items from the marketboard, but it’ll cost you.
To get the High Five emote, you’ll need to purchase the Ballroom Etiquette – Uncouth Congratulations item from Enie in the Firmament, located in Ishgard at the coordinates X:12, Y:14. The item will cost you 1,800 Skybuilder Scrips, which are earned by completing the Ishgard Restoration quests, taking on tasks from Enie, and delivering required items and resources.
Using the High Five Emote
Once you’ve bought it, simply select and use it from your inventory like any other item and your character will automatically learn the high five emote. You can drag it to your hotbar from the social menu, or just type the command /highfive in the text box to have your character do it.
Of course, this has no bearing whatsoever on gameplay, and is simply a cosmetic item that you might want to pick up for your character.
That’s all you need to know about how to get the high five emote in FFXIV. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
