How to Customize Character Appearance in Far Cry 5

Recommended Videos

Unlike previous games in the series, Far Cry 5 finally allows the player to make and customize their own character. With a wealth of options to choose from, players can pick their own gender, outfits, and more. One question fans might have is if they can alter their appearance during the game itself.

That being said, it’s worth noting that players can only customize how their character looks at the start of the game. You won’t be able to modify any facial features or similar traits once you start your adventure, so it’s advised that you spend some time crafting the character you want to make. Later on, however, you will have access to different kinds of outfits and clothes you can swap anytime. There are plenty of costumes you can find in the game, meaning you won’t have to worry about that fashion faux pas you might have made.

For the most part, though, you’ll be spending most of your time in a first-person perspective. Chances are, you’ll hardly catch a glimpse of the avatar you made while you’re busy mowing down your enemies.
