What We Know so Far of a Fallout 76 Beta Release Date
Update: Bethesda has announced that the Fallout 76 beta will go live in October, with Xbox One players getting first chance, before PS4 and PC players follow.
We’re blown away by the response to the B.E.T.A. Still sorting out the details but we’ll start letting you break-it in October. First on XB1, then PS4 and PC. #PleaseStandBy https://t.co/3XIR7grard pic.twitter.com/YQISJvis0P

Fallout 76 is a bit of a change for the popular post-apocalyptic RPG series. Rather than wandering around the wasteland alone, Fallout 76 incorporates the classic gameplay of the series with a shared, online world. You’ll have to rebuild after the bombs have dropped as part of a team, though not all Vault Dwellers are always going to be the friendliest… At least we imagine they won’t. Still, in order to give fans a chance to check out Fallout 76 ahead of its release, and iron out those pesky bugs, Bethesda is hosting a beta for the game. So, the obvious question is: what is the Fallout 76 beta release date?
Currently, Bethesda has yet to provide specifics regarding the Fallout 76 beta. All that is known at this moment in time is that, in order to gain access to the Fallout 76 beta, you’ll need to preorder the game. After this, you’ll then need to go and pop the code provided in at the official Bethesda site. And from then, it’s just a case of waiting.
That doesn’t mean that we can’t predict when the Fallout 76 beta release date will be, though. With the game releasing on Nov. 14, it’s safe to assume we’ll see the Fallout 76 beta before then. If we were betting folk, we’d put our money on the beta’s release date landing somewhere in August or September. These are the quietest months leading into Fallout 76’s launch, and as such would likely net the biggest number of beta players. And of course, Bethesda want as many people to check out the beta as possible in order to stress test servers, and get as much valuable feedback as they can. This is just us speculating, though, but we’ll be sure to update this post as soon as we have a firm Fallout 76 release date.
