The Thirst Zapper is the first unique weapon you’ll come across in Fallout 4’s latest expansion, Nuka-World. This is basically a water-gun that was designed to look like a laser blaster. It does no damage at all, and will only serve as an annoyance to anyone it’s fired at. It’s only use is against the very first boss you fight after reaching Nuka-World and clearing out the Gauntlet.

To find this weapon, play through the gauntlet until you reach the locker room before the boss fight against the electrified, armored raider. Search each locker and one of them will house this nifty little squirter. When you talk to Gage on the intercom, he’ll inform you that the Thirst Zapper is actually capable of shutting down the boss’s electrical field temporarily. If only it was able to shut down more enemies down the line.

Splatter Cannon

splattercannon fallout 4 nuka-world

The Splattercannon may possibly be the most powerful weapon in the Nuka-World Fallout 4 expansion. This auto-rifle puts other Fallout 4 rifles to shame thanks to its Furious Legendary Perk, solid accuracy, and top-notch fire rate. Every consecutive hit on an enemy does an increased amount of damage, meaning you can tear through most enemies with ease. To make this weapon seem even sweeter, you can actually get it pretty early on in the expansion as long as you have the funds necessary.

When you reach Nuka-Town, USA, right after completing the Gauntlet, head on over to the market and locate Aaron. This vendor sells guns and has the Splattercannon for a little over 10,000 Caps (this can vary depending on your build and perks). If you’ve been saving your hard-earned dough throughout the game, you can walk away immediately ready to slay anyone who crosses your path.

It’s also fully customizable, so you can add a larger magazine, different grips, and even change the weapon type to suit your liking.

Acid Soaker

acid soaker fallout 4 nuka-world

This is yet another unique weapon that is found in Nuka-Town, USA. Head on over to the Nuka-Cade where you can earn a bunch of tickets by playing arcade games. Once you’ve earned a hefty sum (about 6,500 tickets) head on over to the redemption terminal and check the prizes. You should find the Acid Soaker in one of the five levels of prizes. If not, wait in order to pass time and check again. The rewards change periodically, but you’ll eventually be able to purchase this weapon.

It may look like a pipe pistol, but it actually shoots little spurts of acid, making it more like a water-gun than anything else. It doesn’t do much damage (it’s base is 10 Acidic damage), but it does deal damage over time and can temporarily lower a target’s damage resistance. With that in mind, this weapon best serves as part of a combo. Spray your enemy with a bit of acid, then switch to something like the Splattercannon to light them up.

Nuka-Nuke Launcher

nuka-nuke launcher

The Nuka-Nuke Launcher fires a variant of Mini-Nukes that are powered by Nuka-Cola Quantum. This may sound like a simple gimmick, but they actually do roughly 30% more damage than a normal Mini-Nuke and explode an a bright blue mushroom. Technically this is a Fat-Man modification, but since there’s only one available in the game and you can’t craft anymore, we’re going to treat it like a bona fide Fallout 4: Nuka-World unique weapon.

To obtain this weapon, you’ll need to complete the Cappy in a Haystack questline which tasks players with locating 10 Hidden Cappys throughout Nuka-World. Once you do, head back to the woman who gave you the quest and enter the office of John-Caleb Bradberton, the inventor of Nuka-Cola. Head all the way upstairs to an office and check the soda machine in the corner of the room to find a hidden button that reveals a secret elevator. That elevator leads down to a secret vault.

Make your way through the vault to find the living head of Bradberton and a choice. You can choose to kill him by disabling the power which will open up a sealed vault, or you can let him live and Sierra, the woman who gave you the quest, will give you a Nuka-Cola jumpsuit. Either way the quest will end. You can get both rewards though. Accept Sierra’s proposition, get the suit, and turn off the power anyway. You’ll have to fight Sierra, but the sealed vault will open and you can collect the Nuka-Nuke Launcher as well as schematics for the ammunition inside.

Cito’s Shiny Slugger

cito's slugger fallout 4 nuka-world

Cito’s Shiny Slugger is a powerful melee weapon that refills AP with critical damage. Unlike most melee weapons, the Slugger deals ballistic damage, which is pretty fun. It’s best for a Luck and Critical build thanks to it’s legendary perk, but you should be fine as long as you’re a higher level. Essentially, if modded just right (it’s fully customizable), you can have an unlimited amount of AP that allows you to deliver constant critical death blows, keeping hordes of raiders at bay.

To obtain Cito’s Shiny Slugger for yourself, you’ll need to head to the Safari Adventure at the north of Nuka-World’s map. You’ll come across a NPC named Cito (who bears a striking resemblance to a certain Game of Thrones character). He will give you a quest titled Safari Adventure, which will grant you this weapon upon completion.

Hub’s Alien Blaster

fallout 4 nuka-world hub's alien blaster

Bethesda has decided to include a second Alien Blaster weapon in Fallout 4’s latest DLC. This one, however, requires a quest to obtain and not that the player just shows up at the right place. The quest in question is called Trip to the Stars and it puts the vault dweller in contact with a new religious group. Head to the Nuka-World Junkyard and locate the ‘Cleansed’ to the East. It’s a wandering gentleman who will as you some questions before introducing you to Hubbology. Agree to follow then head on to meet Dara.

You’ll be given a few objectives througout the quest but you only have to complete the first two with the second tasking you with capturing the spaceship located in the junkyard. You’ll have to take out a bunch of enemies (robots mostly), but at the end of it all Dara will give a speech. When she’s done you will receive the Hub’s Alien Blaster as a reward.

The Problem Solver

fallout 4 nuka-world the problem solver

Before we get into why this weapon is worth having, let us quickly show you how to get it since it’s missable. After completing the Gauntlet and talking to Gage for the first time, you will have the option of talking to each of the three gang leaders in Nuka-World. Make a beeline for Mason, the leader of The Pack so you can have a quick little convo. As the conversation progresses you will gain a speech-check labeled “Do as you’re told.” This will come after being able to tell him not to threaten you (which you should also do). It’s the most alpha thing you can do, something respected by this particular gang, so if you pass Mason will just give you this gun. It’s the only way to get it so if you ignore that speech check and continue on, you’re out of luck.

The Problem Solver is a unique AK-47 that does exceptional damage and increases damage by 15% with every consecutive shot on a target. If modded for a large magazine, that can really help you out early on. In many ways it is very similar to the Splattercannon, and even uses the same ammunition. The Splattercannon is slightly more accurate, but with mods and Perks, you can certainly balance that out.

Sword of Wonders

fallout 4, nuka-world

The Sword of Wonders is a unique Chinese Officer’s Sword, which is a medium bladed weapon that has medium swing speed. Hearing ‘medium’ may not be all that exciting, but when kitted out with your preferred upgrades – you can use either Serrated, Electrificed, or Electrified Serrated Blade upgrades – and when your perks are tallied in, this is a potent melee weapon indeed. The fact that it also has plus 30% Armor Piercing capabilities makes it useful against those annoying Raiders.

This unique weapon can be obtained naturally throughout the DLC as you try to clear out each area of the Nuka-World park. Head to the Kiddie Kingdom where you’ll deal with s strange man over the loudspeakers and a ton of Ghouls. That voice belongs to Oswald the Outrageous, a Ghoul magician, who you’re tasked with finding during the Kiddie Kingdom’s quest “A Magical Kingdom” (the quest starts as soon as you enter the area for the first time. The questline is fairly simple, and markers will guide you to each destination. Just clear each area and you’ll eventually be directed to meet this odd individual on the top of the castle. Here you’ll be given two options, both of which grant you the Sword of Wonders so choose which suits you best.

You can talk it out, but you’ll need some damn high Charisma. Any perks that help with conversation would be a boon here, and we also recommend saving before talking to him. Tell Oswald to “Go Help Her” (this option will pop up during convo) and if you pass he will agree and hand over the sword and his top hat. You can also fight him to get the sword, his hat, and his outfit. Just do keep in mind that it is a difficult fight where you’ll deal with him and his constantly reviving army of Ghouls.

Aeternus

fallout 4 nuka-world aeternus

Aeternus is an extremely useful weapon in Fallout 4: Nuka-World unique weapon that has unlimited ammunition. When we say unlimited by the way, we don’t mean the usual Legendary Perk where you never have to reload and you can shoot until you officially run out of ammo. We mean this gun never, ever runs out so you can keep firing indefinitely. Of course, with a weapon as powerful and useful as this one, it’s not going to be very easy to obtain.

You’ll need to complete the quest Amoral Combat, but you may need to complete it more than once. This is a repeatable quest that tasks the player with defending the Gauntlet, just like the previous boss did before them. There seem to be some issues getting this quest to trigger, though. Most players have it randomly pop up as they play through the Nuka-World DLC, but some are finding that it helps to run back through the Gauntlet (don’t worry, traps are disabled every new time you run it) to get it to trigger. . When it does trigger, a Raider will inform you of a challenger when you arrive at Nuka-Town, USA. Talk to Fitsch and choose to fight the challenger rather than set them free. The challenger you’re looking for is the Legendary Rogue Knight. They may be your first challenger, or they can be your fifth. It seems to be completely random so keep killing entrants until one of your runs puts you against this person. Kill the Legendary Rogue Knight an you will find the Aeternus among its inventory, ready to be used against all the vicious threats that await you.

Do note that you should wait for the knight to pull out their weapon first. Players are reporting that it’s a pretty bugged quest, so once you see the weapon come out, it’s safe to start firing.

Make sure to check back in regularly as we add more new Fallout 4: Nuka-World weapons.
