Elden Ring Endings Guide: How to Get All 6 Endings

Just like in previous Soulsborne games, Elden Ring also features multiple endings that you can unlock depending on the actions you’ve taken over the course of your journey. Most of these are very well-hidden and require you to complete long, intricate NPC questlines, but we’re here to help you sort them out and get you on the right track to unlocking the ending you want. Here’s how to get all six endings in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring Endings Guide

There are a total of six endings available in Elden Ring, and we’ve listed them down below:

  • Age of Fracture
  • Age of the Stars
  • Age of Duskborn
  • Age of Order
  • Blessing of Despair
  • Lord of the Frenzied Flame

We’ll go over the steps for unlocking each ending below. Most of these can be unlocked right after beating the final boss, where you’ll be able to choose from a variety of options depending on how many quests you’ve completed.

The only exception is Lord of the Frenzied Flame, which will lock you out of the other five endings once you’ve met its requirements.

Age of Fracture

This is the default ending to Elden Ring, and is likely the one that most players will get on their first playthrough. You’ll unlock it simply by beating the final boss and choosing to mend the Elden Ring and become the Elden Lord.

Age of the Stars

The Age of the Stars ending requires you to complete Ranni’s questline, which ends with you obtaining the Dark Moon Greatsword. This is one of the most complex questlines in the game, but essentially, you’ll need to finish Blaidd’s quest and also explore both Nokron and Nokstella.

After beating the boss, instead of choosing an option, you’ll want to interact with the summon sign nearby to summon Ranni and trigger the ending.

Age of Duskborn

The Age of Duskborn ending requires you to complete Fia’s questline, which tasks you with returning the Weathered Dagger to D and exploring Deeproot Depths to unlock a couple of optional boss fights: Fia herself, and Lichdragon Fortissax.

After beating Lichdragon Fortissax, you’ll receive the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince, which unlocks this new alternate ending.

After beating the final boss, choose to use the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince to trigger this ending.

Age of Order

The Age of Order ending requires you to complete Brother Corhyn’s questline with Goldmask. After clearing the Academy of Raya Lucaria, speak with Corhyn at Roundtable Hold and he’ll tell you that he’s off to look for Goldmask.

You’ll need to progress through the story until you’ve reached the Altus Plateau, where you’ll find both of them. This quest tasks you with exploring Crumbling Faram Azula and defeating the Fire Giant and Beast Clergyman, and you’ll be able to get the Mending Rune of Perfect Order from Goldmask at the bottom of the Erdtree in Leyndell.

After beating the final boss, choose to use the Mending Rune of Perfect Order to trigger this ending.

Blessing of Despair

The Blessing of Despair ending requires you to complete Dung Eater’s questline, which starts properly once you show him a Seedbed Curse. There are a total of six Seedbed Curses in Elden Ring, and you need five of them to complete the quest. Most of them can be found in Leyndell, which requires you to reach the Altus Plateau.

Showing the Dung Eater a Seedbed Curse will reward you with the Sewer-Gaol Key, which lets you access the sewers beneath Leyndell. You can then free the Dung Eater’s real body, fight him at the Outer Moat, then give his real body five Seedbed Curses to finish the quest to get the Mending Rune of the Fell Curse.

After beating the final boss, choose to use the Mending Rune of the Fell Curse to trigger this ending.

Lord of the Frenzied Flame

The Lord of the Frenzied Flame ending is loosely tied with Hyetta’s questline, but you don’t have to complete it in order to get this ending. You’ll need to progress through the story till you reach Leyndell, and find the Cathedral of the Forsaken beneath the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds.

Here, you’ll need to remove your armor to open the door to find the Three Fingers. Interact with it and you’ll be imbued with the Flame of Frenzy, which locks you out of mending the Elden Ring and accessing the rest of the endings.

After beating the final boss, choose the option to become the Lord of the Frenzied Flame to trigger this ending.

That’s all you need to know about how to unlock all six endings in Elden Ring. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
