Dying Light 2: Can You Sell Miscellaneous Items or Keep Them? Answered

You’re going to pick up a whole lot of items on your adventures in Dying Light 2. From flowers and plants that can be used to craft medicine and other consumables, right through to Sunday Shoes in case you fancy attending the sermon at the nearby church. Some of these fall under Dying Light 2’s Miscellaneous Items category, and that’s got some people wondering whether you can sell these items or if you should keep hold of them.

Can You Sell Miscellaneous Items in Dying Light 2?

Yes, you can sell any of the items that fall under the ‘Miscellaneous’ heading in your inventory by heading to a Vendor, marked with a little knapsack icon on your map, making it easy to find and fast travel to one.

The items range in value, with some, such as the ‘Turn Me On’ unique valuable — earned by completing the ‘The Essence of Survival’ side quest — having a sell value of 250 Old World Money.

You can quickly sell all valuables (items with no crafting or quest use) by pressing and holding Triangle/ Y when talking to a vendor. The amount you’ll get is noted in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

But Should You Sell Miscellaneous Items?

It’s all well and good being able to sell them, but chances are you’re here because you’re wondering whether you actually should sell them, or hold onto them in case you need them in a crafting ingredient or another side quest later on.

From our time spent in Dying Light 2 so far, no miscellaneous items we found have been required for any quest or crafting recipe. Or if they were, we found there was an ample supply of them littered throughout the world anyway.

In other words, yes, you should sell your Dying Light 2 miscellaneous items. They are an excellent source of Old World Money and aren’t used in any quests or crafting recipes that you’re going to regret not having saved them for instead.
