However, even though they’re very rare, you’re going to want to unite all seven in order to make a wish that grants you some useful items as well as some cool unlockables. Normally you’d have to just cross your fingers and hope to get Dragon Balls as drops from one of the many enemies you’ll encounter while playing, but we’ve found a way to bypass all of the time and most of the grinding. There is a way to get all seven of these golden orbs really fast. In our own playthrough we managed to get them all within an hour, although time may vary for some players.

Before we get started, you’re going to want to be at least level 35. Trying this on lower levels is possible, but it’s much better to be safer in order to save time. You’ll also want to bring some backup to make the fights go by quicker. Once you’re level 35, you’re ready to begin.

Start Parallel Quest No. 4: Prepare for the Attack of Saiyans!

This is a really easy Parallel Quest, but that’s not the reason you’re going to want to do this one. When playing Parallel Quests, you always have the chance of running into other Time Patrol Agents. In this quest, since the beginning is so easy, you will run into those agents within a minute or so, making the grind for Dragon Balls a lot faster than normal.

The first section of the quest will have you fight Yamcha, Krillin, and Tien all at the same time. They’re fast but incredibly weak. As long as you don’t let them surround you, they’re easy pickings and, if you’re level 35, it should only take you a few seconds to beat each fighter. Once they’re dead, a gate will activate; do not enter the gate. Before doing so, it’s time to check if you’re going to get a Dragon Ball or not.

If you wait a few seconds, three Time Patrol Agents will pop up right next to the building you were just fighting in front of. Approach them and talk to them in order to accept their challenge for a fight.

Defeat the Time Patrollers

Once you accept the challenge, it’s time to fight. You will be up against three combatants at once, each of a different level. These levels are completely random but you’ll almost always end up with at least one opponent who is higher than level 30, which is why you were suggested to be level 35.

You’ll have to defeat all three, but when you defeat each individual one, make sure to pay attention to the bottom of your screen. What you’re looking for is the reward pop-up (it’s a black bar with white lettering). It will say what you’ve earned from each victory. You’re going to want one of them to say Key Item, that means one of the opponents dropped one of the Dragon Balls. If you see this pop up, continue the quest until completion.

If you don’t see Key Item, restart the quest by pausing and choosing Retry.

Complete Then Repeat

Complete the quest if you see Key Item pop up. Once you’re done, you’ll see a shiny Dragon Ball as one of your rewards, bringing you ever closer to making a wish in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Now all you have to do is repeat the process six more times until you have all seven.

Unfortunately, you can’t just choose to go through the quest again from some mission end screen. You have to wait until you’re loaded back into Conton City, which can take quite a bit of time. Accounting for load times, and assuming you’re skilled enough to beat the entire quest quickly, each successful run should take about 6-8 minutes total. If a run is a failure, you shouldn’t find yourself in the quest for more than three minutes, and retrying from within the mission is a lot faster than exiting and choosing it all over.

As long as you don’t give up after a few failures, you should be fine and well on your way to having a full collection of these valuable Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 items.

You Have One Wish

Once you have collected all seven Dragon Balls, it’s time to head back to Conton City. You’ll find the dragon Ball Pedestal in the center of the map. Simply interact with it and you’ll be able to summon Shenron and view the entire list of wishes. Once a selection is made and confirmed, you’ll get a notification telling you what you’ve earned and all of your Dragon Balls will be removed from your inventory.

When this happens, run through the entire process again to get your next wish. This is the fastest way we’ve found so far, but we’ll be sure to update if we find something even quicker. Have fun!
