How to Chase in Dragon Ball FighterZ
The Dragon Ball Z franchise is one of the most popular anime with huge fights that are now considered iconic. The fighting style that is at the heart of this series feels unique and is an immediately recognizable part of the series. It’s one of the few popular, mainstream anime where blowing up an entire planet is just something that happens on the regular. Dragon Ball FighterZ is bringing the franchise’s fast-paced, chaotic, and epically over-the-top battles to a 2D fighting experience for the first time ever. Any true fan of the series knows that that means it’s time to chase down enemies in mid air to deliver a punishing blow or string together a devastating combo.
Dragon Ball FighterZ introduces a combat system that just feels so true to what we see from Saiyans, androids, and other Dragon Ball mainstays in the heat of battle in the TV show. One mechanic that really helps bring that feeling is the option to chase down your enemy by automatically homing in on their location. All the time we see characters like Goku and Vegeta serve themselves a bit of an alley-oop by sending their opponents flying through the air and then quickly rushing to their destination in order to follow up with another powerful blow. Arc System Works will give Dragon Ball FighterZ’s fans the chance chase their opponents around the screen with the Super Dash mechanic.
In order to perform a Super Dash in Dragon Ball FighterZ, press your heavy and special buttons (X + O or R2 on PS4, A + B or RT on Xbox One). You also have the option of using your right trigger to activate a Super Dash as well. This will track your opponent’s location and cause your selected character to give chase, which makes it an essential tool for stringing powerful combos together. You should also keep in mind that this Super Dash does more than chase your target in Dragon Ball FighterZ. Consider this your get out of jail free card when your opponent is hurling projectiles at you. The Super Dash will allow you to fly towards your enemy’s location while also dodging projectiles. If you manage to use the Super Dash to successfully chase down your opponent you’ll actually see the word “chase” appear on the side of your screen.
