How to Attack in Dragon Ball FighterZ

Recommended Videos

Dragon Ball FighterZ lets fans of the anime battle it out with their favorite characters in fast-paced 3 vs. 3 battles. Every punch, Ki Blast, and Kamehameha looks just as good as they do in the anime. This is a game, though. These epic attacks don’t just happen on their own. You’ll need to know how to attack if you stand any chance of winning a match in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

The attack buttons in Dragon Ball FighterZ are Square, Triangle and Circle on PS4, and X, Y and B on Xbox One. Square and X will pull off a light attack, Triangle or Y will deliver a medium attack, while Circle or B will be a heavy attack.

Light attacks are very fast but don’t do much damage, while heavy attacks are slow but pack a bit more punch. As you may have guessed, medium ones are the midpoint between them.

In order to pull off combos or more powerful moves in the game, you’ll want to check the move lists for each character. Every fighter has their own unique moves and combos you’ll need to perfect in order to get the most out of them. We’ve got a couple of other helpful guides for super and ultimate moves you can check out, too.
