Destiny Rise of Iron: 5 Tips For Crucible Supremacy Mode

supremacy

Keeping moving is a crucial element of any PVP mode on Destiny. A sitting duck is an easy target and in a fast-paced game mode like Supremacy where even after you’ve got a kill your job isn’t done, this couldn’t be truer.

When you’re running around the map or approaching a gunfight, make sure you’re making yourself as difficult as possible to hit with some strafing, jumping, and ducking. What’s more, when you’re sealing the deal and picking up a crest, think about the fastest possible way you can get to it, as well as the one that makes you as small as possible. Sliding your way on over is a quick and easy way to get in and out of the heat without making yourself a huge target. After all, that kill won’t mean much if you can’t seal the deal by making it to their Crest.

Cleanup Duty

supremacy, tips, tricks

Supremacy is very much Destiny’s Kill Confirmed game mode from Call of Duty. Taking down an enemy leaves an item on the floor you must pick up. While Kill Confirmed only saw you chalk a point on the board if you picked it up, Supremacy’s Crests essentially offer you a point for each. Therefore, make sure you’re being effective with your kills and grabbing every Crest you see in sight.

That not only applies for the Crests of your enemies but for your team’s as well (assuming you’re not playing the Rumble playlist). Picking up your allies’ Crests will deny the other team from adding another point to their tally. By cleaning up each and every Crest you see lying on the floor not only will your maximize your kills, but you’ll greatly hinder the progress of your opposition, too.

Ammo Drops
destiny, supremacy

Throughout the game, different Ammo crates will appear allowing you to unleash the full power of your Special and Heavy weaponry. While your Primary weapon is going to do a lot of the work for you since ammo isn’t a problem, make sure to always pick up Special and Heavy ammo when you see it’s finally dropped.

Ammo drops can also be quite a handy honeypot if you’re ready and waiting with your Super Attack and Heavy weapon to take care of multiple enemies. If you’re clever and stealthy enough, you can set up base near a Heavy ammo drop just before it becomes available. With a bit of luck, you’ll see your opponents heading over eager to get some additional firepower to take care of you and the rest of your team. Unleash your Super and rain down fire on them with grenades and any other weapons you may have to grab a smooth multi-kill and prevent them from fueling their most powerful weapons.

Run In a Team

destiny, supremacy

While this one doesn’t apply for the Rumble Supremacy game mode, running in a team will most certainly help you in the Classic Supremacy matches. Having at least one other person with you not only means that you can pick off straddlers on the opposing team with ease, but also that you’ve got a better chance of picking up the Crests of any enemies you kill as part of a group.

Even better, if one of you dies, the other can quickly pick up your Crest and prevent the opposition from getting that extra point. Every point in Supremacy is important and games can come down to a margin of just one or two. Running in a group is imperative to success and long-term survival in the punishing world of the Crucible’s Supremacy mode.

Right Weapon for the Job

Destiny

It’s easy to forget about the rest of your weapons when you’re in the heat of the moment bringing the pain with your Pulse Rifle, but it’s important to realize when to switch out and use the other elements of your arsenal when in battle. If you see a group of guys in a crowded place, rather than trying to gun ’em all down, a quick grenade into the middle of them will clear them out nice and fast.

Remember, Special and Heavy ammo drops will appear from time to time during a game of Supremacy, so always make sure you’re keeping an eye on when they become available and then making use of these. Any Heavy ammo you pick up won’t stay around when you die either, so be sure to have your weapon at the ready as soon as possible to get the most out of it. After all, a quick blast from your Gjallarhorn is going to be pretty damn effective no matter what the circumstances
