How to Get the Coldheart Exotic Trace Rifle in Destiny 2

Recommended Videos

Trace Rifles are a new weapon type in Destiny 2. It’s so new that Bungie has only created one, and it happens to be a powerful exotic called the Coldheart. It’s essentially a fusion rifle that fires a continuous laser rather than a pulse of beams, and it has some interesting perks. You can check out the perks for this Arc Trace Rifle below:

Cold Fusion – Shoots a steady cold fusion-powered laser.

Extended Barrel – Increased range, slower handling speed.

Enhanced Battery – Larger magazine.

Longest Winter – Does exponentially more damage the longer laser is on a single target.

Hand-Laid Stock – Increased stability.

Unfortunately, the only way to get this weapon right now is to have pre-ordered the game at participating retailers. You would have then received a code for this exotic. If you didn’t pre-order you’re not completely out of luck. The Coldheart will be made available to all Destiny 2 players through a quest that will be released in December. It’s a bit of a long wait, but with the theme of the weapon being cold fusion, December and the holiday season in general feels like a fitting time to release it to the masses.
