How to Get Treasure Maps & What They Do in Destiny 2

Once you’ve cleared Destiny 2’s story, there’s still a bunch of stuff left to do. From exploring Lost Sectors, completing Adventures, hopping into the Crucible, or grinding out the best gear in the Strikes playlist, doing it all will take some serious time. Well, Treasure Maps can actually help your power grind in Destiny 2, guiding you to treasures of high value, so here’s what you need to know to get them.

Treasure Maps can be purchased from Cayde-6 and will be unlocked once you’ve finished the story in Destiny 2. You’ll also need to be Level 20, otherwise, you’ll only be able to get Scouting Reports from him. Each of the Treasure Maps costs a few thousand Glimmer so you shouldn’t have many problems affording a fair few of them.

Once you’ve got them, check your map for the location you bought it for and you should see a little spade symbol on your map. They’ll also have a clue that guides you a little more to its location should you need it. Head here and uncover the cache. These can contain weapons, armor, or other valuable treasures, too, so they’re well worth exploring for.

It’s worth noting that these caches can only be found by purchasing Treasure Maps, so don’t think your master excavation skills will save you some of your Glimmer in Destiny 2.

That’s all you need to know about Treasure Maps, now go get looting, Guardian!
