HOW TO THROW GRENADES IN DESTINY 2

Recommended Videos

Grenades are extremely helpful during combat in every first-person shooter and that is no different for Bungie’s Destiny 2.

Since there are many grenades in Destiny 2, all of which do different things, with many of them tied to a specific character class, they act almost as special abilities rather than simple explosives.

However, no matter which kind of explosive you are using, whether that be a Warlock’s Vortex Grenade or a Titan’s Flashbang, throwing them is triggered using the same button. To do so, simply hit the L1/LB button while facing in the direction you wish to throw it.

You need to keep in mind the strengths of each grenade when using them. Simple ones explode after a short period of time, making them perfect for taking out tight groups of enemies that are approaching you or hiding behind cover. Other ones however, such as Lightning and Magnetic grenades, stick to a single enemy and are therefore much more suited to taking out one target that is proving tough to defeat. The cool down period for each type of grenade will also improve as you level up your character so they become even more useful as you get more experienced. While all handheld explosives are used in the same way in Destiny 2, you should be aware of their effects before you use them in combat situations.

Grenades are an important part of combat in Destiny 2 and, thankfully, they are very easy to use. For more on the game, make sure to take a look at our wiki.
