One of the key new features in Destiny 2’s latest expansion, Shadowkeep, are the Nightmare Hunts. While primarily taking place on the Moon, there are smaller-scale Nightmare enemies that appear in the four vanilla planets including Io. Here are where you can find Nightmares on Io in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep.
Nightmares aren’t just out in the open on the other non-Moon locations in Destiny 2.
They like to keep to the shadows like the red creepy nightmarish enemies that they are. Plus, Io seems really hot, with there being volcanos and things like that there, so it’s not a place that a ghoul would usually want to chill out.
Where to Find Nightmares on Io in Destiny 2 Shadowkeep
What you need to do is go to one of the many lost sectors that are scattered about on Io.
Any one of them will do but you should pick one that is near one of the spawn-in points on the map so you can quickly return to it in case you wanted to farm the same one. If you want to save yourself a few minutes, that’s the way to go.
Once you’re in a lost sector, make your way to towards the end of it until you find the Wanted boss enemy.
This enemy will be surrounded by a few nightmare-class enemies and if this is a lost sector where more enemies show up, more nightmares will appear as well. Killing these enemies will increase your progress for killing nightmares on Io.
For the lost sectors that we finished on Io, one run will knock out about half of the progress bar if you’re doing this to clear a nightmare Moon bounty. If you missed one, or if the one that you chose didn’t have as many nightmares for whatever reason, maybe it will take three lost sector runs.
In any event, it shouldn’t take your more than 10-15 minutes to knock out this bounty now that your know where to look for nightmares on Io.
That’s all you need to know about nightmares on Io in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. Easy right?
