How to Get the Winter’s Guile Exotic Warlock Gauntlets in Destiny 2

Recommended Videos

The Winter’s Guile exotic Warlock gauntlets are a brand new exotic in Destiny 2. They don’t look very exotic, showing little more than a metal glove with some arm warmers attached, but their perk can prove interesting to some players. The intrinsic perk on the Winter’s Guile is:

  • Warlord’s Sigil – Eliminating enemies with melee attacks increases your melee damage.

This is very useful for the subclasses where getting up close isn’t too dangerous, such as an Attunement of Hunger Voidwalker or a Stormcaller, since melee abilities are at the core of their utility. Unfortunately, as cool as these may sound, there’s no guaranteed way to nab them. They aren’t tied to some quest, nor are they an option during the story. Instead, you’ll need to rely on luck and, potentially, lots of grinding.

The Winter’s Guile exotic in Destiny 2 can decrypt randomly from an exotic or, in some lucky cases, a legendary engram. You can even get these gauntlets as a random reward. Here are some ways we’ve found are great for earning exotics:

  • Beat the Story (you get one exotic engram from Zavala)
  • Heroic Public Events
  • Crucible
  • Leveling up Venords
  • Nightfall
  • Call to Arms
  • Clan XP
  • Flashpoint
  • Raid

Hopefully, while running these activities you get yourself some decent drops. With any luck, one of those drops will become this nifty piece of armor. For more on Destiny 2, be sure to check out our wiki.
