This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Destiny 2 Season 10 AKA Season of the Worthy has dropped and the exotic quests are now starting to roll on in. While we got the first exotic just for playing, a popular returning exotic from Destiny 1, Fourth Horseman, is going to require a bit more effort. Here’s how to get Fourth Horseman and complete the exotic quest in Destiny 2’s Season of the Worthy.

Getting to Zavala’s Office & Vault

So the first thing you have to do to for the Fourth Horseman exotic quest is to find Zavala’s office but more specifically, his secret vault of Vanguard weapons. It’s in a new area that has been opened up with an update.

First lurch on over to the walkway that runs below the center Tower area and the Vaults shown in the below picture. The quickest way is to just hop on down like I’m about to do from the railing.

Head down these stairs shown below and at the end hang a let and enter the hallway that follows.

You’ll eventually end up in Zavala’s office. In the back right area of the room to the right of his desk from when you enter there is a stairway, take that down and then face the stairs like you see me doing in the picture below. Crouch, and then enter the vents.

From here, the path is quite linear. You’ll eventually head into the room below. Look up and there’s a vent that you can enter once again.

Follow the path down the drop down that’s in the middle of the short ventilation system and you’ll drop down into the vault. Once you’re in the vault area you’ll be able to interact with it and gain the item you need to progress the quest. See the image below.

After all that it’s back to Zavala to move the quest along; you’re not done. Here are the rest of the steps you’ll need to complete. From this point on it’s far more straight forward and follows the usual path of exotic quests; do X, kill X.

Fourth Horseman Exotic Quest Steps

Time needed: 2 hours

How to get Fourth Horseman in Destiny 2

  1. Reach Zavala’s office vault.

You did this already if you did all the steps above.

  2. Kill Cabal & complete public events (%) on Mars.

  3. Kill Psions & open Cabal chests.

  4. Kill enemies in the EDZ & complete patrols and public events.

  5. Finally, finish the Legendary Lost Sector: Quarry.

These rotate from the EDZ bunker daily and you may need to wait until the correct day to complete.

Just report in after each step and you’ll be on your way to completing this exotic quest. That’s all you need to know for how to get the Fourth Horseman in Destiny 2.

Exotic Perk

As for what this weapon does, well, it’s a fully automatic Arc energy shotgun with four barrels. It has almost no range, and its perk Broadside increases the damage each successive shot deals while increasing the spread. You really need to be basically point blank to use Fourth Horseman, but there are few guns that can rival it’s pure damage output.
