How to Get to 960 Power Level Fast in Destiny 2

Starting off with your weekly objectives is always the best place to start the level grind in Destiny 2. Making sure you get every powerful engram in any given week is guaranteed to up your power level.

Powerful engrams are given for completing Destiny 2 weekly objectives like the Nightfall strike or Crucible matches. They will appear more frequently than they did in the Forsaken era, but will now offer a smaller (but consistent) bump in power over your current level of +3.

You should play Destiny 2 every day until you get at least one prime engram. These will drop from powerful enemies (yellow health bar) or from completing matches in the Crucible. They will also grant you an item with a power level higher than your own.

The first prime engram will come fairly quickly assuming you’re playing a decent amount, the next ones after that will take a bit longer but you can certainly get two to three or more over an extended period of play time.

This will be enough to get you to power level 950 if you keep at it. If you want to get to 960 and above in Destiny 2 you’ll have to start completing Pinnacle activities.

These are activities within Shadowkeep such as the Garden of Salvation raid, or the Iron Banner whenever that rolls around. The raid is on a weekly reset so be sure to come back and do it every week. This may also include the new “Ordeal” Nightfall activities.

If you have more than one character you can complete these activities multiple times a week to try and speed up the pace of leveling.

It’s possible to break through the power level cap of 960 by upgrading your seasonal artifact as well. So even if you can’t or don’t want to complete the pinnacle activities, you can still eventually get your Destiny 2 power level up and over 960

That’s everything you need to know about how to get 960 power level fast in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. Best of luck grinding and getting raid ready for Garden of Salvation. Check out our wiki guide for more tips and tricks for the newest expansion for Destiny 2.
