HOW TO BEAT KOALA KONG IN CRASH BANDICOOT N. SANE TRILOGY

Recommended Videos

You will fight Koala Kong in the third boss level in the very first Crash Bandicoot. It’s also the 17th level in the game and the second boss level/final level on the second island, Wumpa Island.

It takes place in a volcanic mine and it will begin after Koala Kong flexes his muscles at you. He will then throw three rocks at Crash and before he throws the fourth, he will move along the mine cart tracks. He’s on the other side of a lava river, so you cannot get to him directly, but some of the rocks will land at the feet of Crash and you can use the dash move to fire them back at him.

It is best to avoid the first three rocks and be aware of the TNT falling from above. He cannot be hit at the start and avoiding everything will help you get used to the structure of the fight.

Koala Kong has four hit points, one more than the previous two bosses, so you need to hit him with four rocks that land by Crash. Ensure that you are aiming towards him and that there are no mine carts blocking the way, then spin it at him by pressing ‘square’. As the fight progresses, more TNT will fall by Crash, so be sure to be on the look out for them as well as the rocks coming your way. Do not try to spin a rock back when near a TNT block because you’ll die and will have to restart the fight. The best thing to do is to be conservative and wait for good opportunities.
