How to Get Steel – Conan Exiles

Recommended Videos

If you’ve been wandering the world of Conan Exiles, you’ll likely have already discovered it’s a pretty dangerous place. As such, you’ll want to upgrade your weaponry and the rest of your gear whenever you can with better materials. And Steel is one such material you might find tricky to get your hands on.

In order to get Steel, you’ll need to first acquire a couple of other items. Brimstone and tar are the first things you’ll need to make Steel, so be sure to get a good supply of these at the ready.

For those who don’t know how to get either, Tar can be obtained by tanning Hide and Thick Hide in the Tannery. Tar is a bi-product of this process, so you won’t need to do anything else. As for Brimstone, you’re looking for a pale-colored rock. Unfortunately, it’s commonly found in large caves, which are often filled with some tough enemies. Therefore, it’s a good idea to make sure you’re well-equipped before heading out for Brimstone.

Once you’ve got both of these, you’ll need to combine them in a cauldron to get Steel Fire. You’ll then want to combine Steel Fire with Iron Bars in a furnace. If you’ve got it all right, you should be rewarded with Steel.

With this stronger material now at your disposal, you can craft even better weapons and armor for your adventures in Conan Exiles.
