While these are both great, if you’re looking to earn some bragging rights over your mates, you’re going to want to focus on grinding out Player XP to level up fast in CoD Vanguard’s multiplayer, and we’ve got some handy tips to help you do exactly that.

Use Double XP Tokens

This may sound a little obvious, but it’s always worth checking if you’ve got Double XP tokens you can use when you’re settling down for a lengthy session. Double XP makes a massive difference — twice the XP, funnily enough — but it runs on real time, not just time spent in matches. That’s why we’d recommend only using them when you know you’re going to be playing for at least the duration of the Double XP token you’re looking to redeem.

It’s also worth only using them when you’re really on your A-game. The better your performance, the more base XP, which in turn means more XP to be doubled.

You can activate any Double XP tokens you have by pressing L3 on the multiplayer menu.

Play the Objective

You might be thinking that simply going after kills is going to be the best way to grind XP in CoD Vanguard, but that’s actually not the case. Instead, if you’re playing a game mode like Patrol or Domination, focus on actually capturing and defending the control points.

Capturing nets you an easy 200 points in-game. It’s far easier to earn thousands of points by simply going after control point captures than it is trying to get a ton of kills. The kills will also naturally come if you play the objective, so don’t sweat it and just help your team get the dub.

Complete Challenges

XP isn’t solely earned through your performance in-game. CoD Vanguard also has a ton of Challenges for players to complete rewarding players with cosmetics like weapon skins, player cards and emblems. Some of these also offer up player XP for completing, and certain categories also provide a hefty XP bonus for completing the entire set.

As such, we’d focus on working your way through these challenges as a priority if you’re looking to Prestige as fast as possible in CoD Vanguard. These, combined with Double XP and plenty of objective play is going to skyrocket your Player Level incredibly quickly.

Join & Play with a Clan

Finally, make sure that you’re making use of CoD Vanguard’s Clan system to maximize the XP you’re earning when playing with friends.

If you have a group that you regularly play with, if you create a Clan and play together you’ll earn a 10% XP boost for not just your Player XP, but Weapon and Operator XP, too!

We’d highly recommend making use of the Clan system, as having that extra boost to all XP types means you’ll be leveling up weapons even faster, allowing you to equip the best attachments to make your weapon even more formidable in-game.

Now, get those funny clan tags sorted!
