There is a metric shit-ton of weapons and other sorts of loot in Borderlands 3, and you’ll want to make sure you’re always picking up the rarest and best loot that your fallen enemies drop. Sometimes, amidst the carnage though, it’s easy for loot to get lost, or simply missed with all the explosions going on. Fortunately, there’s a way to stop that precious gear from slipping away. Here’s how to get lost loot back in Borderlands 3.
How to Reclaim Lost Loot in Borderlands 3
Getting your lost items back all revolves around the Lost Loot Machine in Borderlands 3. This isn’t unlocked until you visit Sanctuary 3 for the first time. Once you step on the ship for the first time, you’ll then be able to head to the Crew Quarters and find the machine, right across from the fast travel station on the ship.
Using the Lost Loot Machine
Once you find it, simply walk on over to it and the screen will display whether or not there’s any gear inside that it’s managed to reclaim for you. If it does, simply press the on-screen button prompt to interact with it, and you’ll be free to reclaim all that explosive goodness.
It is worth noting, however, that the machine can get full, especially if you’re not clearing it out at frequent intervals, between every few missions or so. Similarly, the machine will prioritize higher-rarity loot for you over common gear, but this does mean that some bits of gear can slip through the cracks if you’re not careful.
Can You Increase Borderlands 3’s Lost Loot Machine Space?
Yes, Borderlands 3’s Lost Loot machine inventory size can be increased by picking up a Lost Loot SDU upgrade from Marcus’ Munitions on Sanctuary 3. There are numerous upgrades you can purchase, with each increasing in price, so be sure to save all that cash.
