Where to Watch Attack on Titan Season 3

Based on the manga of the same name, Attack on Titan has been a ridiculously popular anime since its initial release in 2013. Finally, after years of delays and waiting, season 3 has premiered and promises to change the fate of Eren’s world for good, from the looks of the anime’s most recent trailer. Picking up after the cataclysmic events of season two, season three rings in the beginning of the “Uprising” story arc where citizens within the Wall will be pinned against one another and forced to fight for governmental dominance. Seeing as the colossal Titans are no longer the sole opposing forces for Eren and co., this upcoming season seems to be shaking the very foundations of this post-apocalyptic setting. After hearing of the immense hype, I’m sure you’re wondering where to go to catch this series.

Season 3 of Attack on Titan will be available to stream hours of its release in Japan on both Crunchyroll and Funimation. For fans of the show’s admittedly stellar English dub, Funimation has confirmed that it will begin streaming Attack on Titan in English starting in Aug. The first episode of the season was also released on Hulu, and it will presumably continue to release there at the same rate, though this has not been confirmed.  Episodes will release every Sunday at 2 p.m. ET on all services.

Toonami’s Facebook page has also confirmed that season three will begin airing on its usual Saturday block  on Aug. 18. As only the first season has been available for Netflix, don’t expect to see season three there anytime soon.

Starting with episode 38, Attack on Titan season three will go on for 24 episodes, according to the producer’s tweet about the series. Considering the massive influence and impact this series has had on bother Japanese and Western audiences, surely the anime will continue far after season three and continue to be a faithful adaption of the highly regarded manga.
