Is There Character Creation in LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga?

Unfortunately, no, there’s no way to create your own character in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and as a result, there are no custom characters in the game.

This wasn’t always the case, however, and that’s why there’s a bit of confusion. Initially, developer TT Games had confirmed that there was a Character Creator included in the game, back in 2019.

Since then, however, the developer took to Twitter to clarify that “sometimes features change throughout development,” and so sadly, “LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga doesn’t have character customization.”

That being said, the developers have included over 300 characters from the entire Star Wars franchise for players to choose from, including a handful available in Character DLC Packs.

When asked by a fan whether there was any chance if the Character Creator would come back in a future update, TT Games replied “We have nothing to announce on any future updates at this time.”

While this statement doesn’t completely rule out the possibility of it arriving as part of a future update, we wouldn’t get our hopes up.

This news is sure to be disappointing to some players, but the extensive roster of characters included in the game should help make up for it a little bit.
