Apple Watch: How to Pair to New Phone

How to Pair Your Apple Watch to New Phone

Recommended Videos

The Apple Watch is a nifty piece of hardware that works exceptionally well with iOS devices. You’ll actually need to pair this device with an iPhone to access most of its default functions such as texting and calling. If you’re having trouble pairing your watch with a new phone, here’s how you can do it.

Before pairing a new phone, you must first unpair your watch from your old iPhone. If you don’t do this, the only way to pair your watch with a new phone is by resetting your smartwatch and losing everything in the process. If you’ve lost your phone, for example, you’ll have to format your watch. To do this, head over to Settings > General > Reset. From there, select Erase All Content and Settings, then pick Continue.

Once you watch has been unpaired or reset, you can finally pair a new iPhone. Launch the watch app on your smartphone and tap Start Pairing. Move your device over your watch until the watch is lined up to the center of the yellow rectangle. If successful, you’ll be prompted with the message “Your Apple Watch Is Paired.”

Both of your devices should be good to go after that. For more details on the Apple Watch, make sure to search for Twinfinite.
