How to Save in Absolver

Recommended Videos

Absolver is the new action RPG from Sloclap and Devolver Digital that tasks players with becoming the greatest martial artists in their world. It’s a tough game, one that rewards patience and learning rather than brash button mashing. Chances are that you will be defeated (often) and will need to take a break every now and then. Of course, before doing so you may want to save your game so you don’t have to come back and start all over again. Here’s how to save while playing Absolver.

There actually is no manual save option to be found in the game. Don’t worry, though. This isn’t some cruel method to torture gamers. Absolver actually records your progress automatically, and quite frequently. Every time you gain experience the game saves. Every fight won saves, every time you enter a new area, each time you equip a new piece of gear… pretty much any time you do anything, Absolver saves your progress. It’s quite convenient.

Do note that this doesn’t always mean you’ll load in the exact same spot you quit at. Instead, you’ll load at a nearby checkpoint (usually the entrance to an area), but you’ll have all of your earned experience, gear, etc.

That’s all there is to it, so don’t worry about taking those much-needed breaks after getting tossed off a cliff (you’ll be surprised at how often this can happen). For more on Absolver, be sure to check back here at Twinfinite.
