WALK THROUGH TRELLIS MOD
This mod allows you to freely walk through a trellis holding a crop, so say goodbye to the days of having to rearrange your green beans, grapes, and hops so you can get through your farm easily. Normally, if you plant a crop that requires a trellis, it blocks you from walking over the square after the plant reaches a certain age. Therefore, if you had trellis plants all in a row with no sprinklers, the ones on the inside would have no way of being watered. If that’s always been an issue for you in your Stardew Valley exploits, them make sure to pick up this mod.
ADDITIONAL HORSE PATTERNS MOD
While we all love the chestnut horse you get in Stardew Valley, a new mod allows you to mix up your horse’s pattern with 20 new skins to try out. Based on actual horse breeds, the choices vary from a grey Arabian to dark black Friesian. If you want to get even more whimsical, there are even three unicorn patterns to use coming in three colors of blue, purple, and pink.
BABY GENDER INTERFACE
Adding a simple change you might have not even realized you wanted, this mod adds an additional button to the screen when naming your baby after birth that allows you to choose the sex of the baby as well. There are minor changes to the text prompts while having a baby to make them non-sex specific as well, so when you finally get to choose male or female it makes a bit more sense.
ADDITIONAL BARN ANIMALS MOD
This adorable mod adds not only three new totally unique animals including deer, llamas, and goats, but adds a ton of color varieties for animals already in vanilla Stardew Valley. While cows are normally only white/black and brown, with this mod they can be 14 different colors with sprites to make them look like either a male or female. Pigs alone have 24 colors, and sheep now have 14 with four special ones to give them a cute white stripe on their face. If you want your animals to feel unique, then this massive mod is just what you’ve been waiting for. Check out the next page for a ton of new sprites for coop animals as well.
ADDITIONAL COOP ANIMALS MOD
Following the new barn animals mod, this mod grants you a bunch of new sprites for coop animals, including chickens, ducks, and bunnies. Chickens can now come in 10 colors, with sprites to look like a rooster or hen and the colors also remaining the same while they are chicks as well. Ducks come in two colors to discern if they are a female or a male, and bunnies have 26 colors with floppy eared bunnies as well. Additionally, blue and void chickens can numerous different colors now too. With this and the new barn animal mod, almost no two animal farms would look alike.
DETAILED WILD ANIMALS MOD
To really round out the feeling of unique animals in your game following the mods that allow for new sprites for both barn and coop animals, this mod gives more detailed sprites for the wild animals and bugs you encounter while traveling around the game’s world. Butterflies now are extremely detailed and colorful; seagulls, crows, woodpeckers, owls, and small birds look more realistic, and wild rabbits are more akin to the ones you raise on your farm. Frogs also look better, as well as squirrels. In all, this mod will make your game pop all the more with additional detail for wild animals to make them look more better than ever.
PAM NARRATIVE OVERHAUL MOD
Created by someone who clearly felt NPC Pam was not fleshed out enough, this mod adds an additional 190+ lines of dialog for the character, over three times more than vanilla Stardew Valley. The altered dialog goes into more detail about her personal issues, drinking problem, and strained relationship with her daughter Penny. The new lines can be seen in different situations, with some depending on season, week, day, and even heart level. If you happen to marry Penny, there is extra dialog from Pam as well.
NEW RECIPES MOD
This mod gives the player a whole new collection of recipes to try out, over 90 in fact. While most can be crafted by the players themselves, a few are specifically sold by Gus or Pierre in their respective stores. The new foods each have their own special sprite, with colorful pieces including donuts, cakes, popsicles, pies, macaroons, and more. If you have already gone through and made every recipe in the game, this mod is sure to entertain you for a few more hours at least.
SEASONAL BUILDINGS MOD
A new mod out last month adds even more details to in-game buildings depending on the given season. In the original game there are some slight changes to buildings that occur seasonally such as snow in winter and a few leaves in fall, but this mod adds even more detail and color to those buildings for all four seasons and even comes in four building variants including the creator’s original models, a brick set, white wood and stone, and the vanilla Stardew Valley set. Even other buildings such as obelisks, junimo huts, and Shane’s coop can even be changed as well.
BETTER FRUIT TREES MOD
If you are tired of having to make sure your tree is in an empty 3×3 radius, then this is the mod for you. Allowing you to plant trees next to anything you want without sacrificing them growing, this mod also allows the quality of the fruit from your trees to grow year after year just as they would do if they were in the real world. Now if you plan on staring a new farm based solely around trees, you won’t have to plot out every space exactly. As well, this mod works with custom fruit trees and make junimo huts harvest fruit trees as well.
