Daemon x Machina
Every New Exclusive Shown at Nintendo’s Conference
Daemon X Machina is one of the newest Nintendo exclusives brought to us by the creators of Armored Core. This was the first game shown off during the Nintendo E3 2018 conference, shocking fans with its beautiful art style and flashy explosive action filled with mechs up to the brim. We’ve got some new details about the game during the Treehouse presentation, and apparently, players will get the chance to create their very own avatar.
However, most of the action takes place when you’re in your mech and zooming through the battlefield during your different missions. You’ll be fighting against plenty of other mechs and tanks, and the cool part about defeating them is that you can actually pick up any weapons they drop in real-time. Moreover, you can also steal parts from other mechs if ever your armor starts to wear down during the heat of the fight. Combat is extremely flexible and you’ll be flying through the air and dashing around missiles and bullets while firing your own attacks.
Daemon X Machina is definitely one of the more action-packed Nintendo exclusives coming out later next year. Fans of mechs and the Armored Core series are in for a real treat!
Super Mario Party
Every New Exclusive Shown at Nintendo’s Conference
Mario Party is back and better than ever, having been announced as yet another Nintendo Switch exclusive during the E3 2018 conference. The developers have taken this chance to refresh the franchise, opting to look back and use a lot of ideas from the original games. Most of the core concepts are still the same: players pick their Nintendo avatar and take part in a host of hilarious mini-games, pitting you against your friends to earn the most stars.
Similar to the first few games, Super Mario Party adopts the boardgame playing field where players will have to roll dice and move forward. Landing on certain squares yield different mini-games, and you have more than enough tools you can use to sabotage your enemies. Interestingly, the party game makes full use of the console’s connectivity features by pairing two Switches (writer’s note: is the plural of Nintendo Switch called Nintendo’s Switchs or Switches?) together for a unique co-op experience. In line with this, Super Mario Party is all about that couch co-op experience and, as such, won’t have any online multiplayer.
If you’re feeling festive, this Nintendo exclusive is slated to launch on Oct. 5 later this year. Check out some of the new gameplay featured in the Treehouse stream.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Every New Exclusive Shown at Nintendo’s Conference
The Fire Emblem franchise is finally arriving on the Nintendo Switch following a year since Echoes was released on the 3DS. Three Houses seems to be the most advanced game to date, offering a slew of new features while keeping those core combat intact. Players will be heading over to a new kingdom called Fodlan, where the Church of Seiros governs the land and its people.
This Nintendo exclusive seems to offer deeper exploration and a new twist in tactical combat. While the developers haven’t revealed much, it looks like players can actually order and organize troops around the battlefield to support their main units. Relationships also return to the game, so it’s back to hunting for that perfect Fodlan waifu or husbando.
Fire Emblem Three Houses is launching as a Nintendo exclusive next year, with a release window of Spring 2019. There’s a good chance we’ll hear more details about the game in the coming months.
