Nintendo revealed so much information about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at E3 2018; surely there can’t be much more to talk about, right? Well, it turns out that the news blowout for the game at E3 wasn’t the only information that they dropped that day.

Following the game’s grand unveiling, Nintendo relaunched the Super Smash Bros. website. In the past, this has been used to provide daily updates about the game, and that is true this time around, too. Even more than that, however, Nintendo dumped an enormous amount of details on the Fighters page from the get-go. Every fighter has received a bunch of screenshots and a 20-second video each. It’s here that Nintendo has hidden a slew of new details about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, of both the small and large variety.
Here is a list of everything new that we can learn about the upcoming game from each character’s page:
- F.L.U.D.D. is definitely returning as a special move.
- The original version of the song ‘Jump Up, Super Star’ from Super Mario Odyssey will appear in the game.
- A New Donk City stage, based on Super Mario Odyssey, will appear in the game. Pauline and her band will be in the background.
- The Mario Finale final smash will be returning and looks generally the same as previous.
- Donkey Kong has a yellow fur/blue tie alternative costume.
- The song ‘Jungle Level Ver. 2’ from Brawl will return.
- Can shoot a sword beam at 0%.
- Link has a new taunt (or idle animation, it’s not entirely clear) in which he poses with his sword out in front of him.
- The heart container item will is back.
- The Cucco item from the Wii U and 3DS games will return.
- The Mother Brain assist trophy will return.
- Samus’ gravity suit will appear as an alternative costume.
- The song ‘Brinstar’ from Super Smash Bros. Melee will return.
- The Zero Laser final smash will be returning and looks generally the same as previous.
- The Pyrosphere stage from Super Smash Bros. Brawl will return.
- Yoshi stands upright like he did in the Wii U and 3DS games.
- Yoshi has yellow, purple and blue alternative costumes.
- The Yoshi’s Story stage has a new cardboard aesthetic.
- The song ‘Yoshi’s Story’ from Melee will return.
- The Yoshi’s Island stage from Brawl will return.
- Kirby has a blue alternative costume.
- Kirby’s dash attack returns to the burning attack from Super Smash Bros. Melee.
- The song ‘Green Greens’ from Melee will return.
- Kirby’s stone special move can now turn into a treasure chest from Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
- The Ultra Sword final smash will be returning and looks generally the same as previous.
- Fox has an alternate costume that makes him look like Wolf.
- Star Fox’s Krystal will appear as an assist trophy for the first time.
- The song ‘Corneria’ from Melee will return.

- An image shows a solid gold Pikachu with sparkles. It is unclear what this is, but people are speculating that it may be a new gold flower item.
- The song ‘Road to Viridian City’ from Super Smash Bros. Brawl will return.
- The beetle item from the Wii U and 3DS games is back.
- You can no longer control Pikachu’s Volt Tackle final smash.
- Luigi has an alternate costume that makes him look like Waluigi.
- A new arrangement of the ‘Main Theme’ from Luigi’s Mansion will appear in the game.
- Luigi can now get stuck in a wall after using Green Missile.
- Ness has a Mr. Saturn shirt as an alternative costume.
- The song ‘Mother’ from Melee will return.
- Ness’ PK Fire has a longer startup.
- PK Thunder will now show the direction in which Ness will be launched when it gets close.
- The fire from Falcon Punch is more intense.

- The fairy bottle item from the Wii U and 3DS games is back.

- Dr. Mario has a new down-air spike where he slams down with both feet.
- The Doctor Finale final smash will be returning and looks generally the same as previous.
- The ‘Pokemon Battle (Gold/Silver)’ from Melee will return.
- Pichu’s final smash is almost identical to Pikachu’s Volt Tackle.
- Falco has a green and red alternative costume.

- Snake can now stick C4 onto opponents.
- Snake has a yellow alternate costume that resembles Naked Snake’s choco chip camouflage from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
- The song ‘Encounter’ from Brawl will return.
- Snake has a new final smash where he calls an airstrike to attack marked opponents.
- The Metal Gear series symbol has changed from the FOX Unit’s insignia to an exclamation mark.
- The song ‘Ike’s Theme’ from Brawl will return.
- The Great Aether final smash will be returning and looks generally the same as previous.
- The song ‘Pokemon Main Theme’ from Brawl will return.
- The Jungle Japes stage from Melee will return.
- Diddy Kong has a blue alternative costume and one with darker fur, a brown shirt and yellow hat.
- A new arrangement of the song ‘Bonus Stage’ from Donkey Kong Country will appear in the game.

- Mega Man has a red alternative costume.
- A new arrangement of the song ‘Wood Man’ from Mega Man II will appear in the game.

- An arrangement of the song ‘Results’ from Wii Fit will appear in the game. (There’s a chance that this may be a small snippet of a new Wii Fit medley.)
- The Mushroom Kingdom II stage from Melee will return.
- The bunny hood item will return.
- Rosalina has an alternate costume based on Fire Rosalina from Super Mario 3D World.
- The song ‘Gusty Garden Galaxy’ from Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will return.
- Gravitational Pull now equips the items that it reels in.
- The Power Star final smash will be returning but is much quicker than previously.
- He now bites the seam of his glove during his side taunt.
- The song ‘Jogging/Countdown’ from the Wii U and 3DS games will return.
- Little Mac has a wire frame alternative costume.
- The Leviathan summon will definitely show up on the Midgar stage.
- The song ‘Battle! Trainer (Pokemon X/Y)’ from the Wii U and 3DS games will return.
- The song ‘Save The World, Heroes!’ from the Wii U and 3DS games will return.
- The Mii Brawler uses both the Soaring Axe Kick and the Piston Punch up special moves at separate points in the video, implying that editable moves are returning for the Mii Fighter.
- Palutena has a purple alternative costume.
- The song ‘Destroyed Skyworld’ from Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will return.
- The Black Hole Laser final smash will be returning but is much quicker than previously.

- A new arrangement of the song ‘Vega’s Stage’ from Street Fighter II will appear in the game.
- Both Ryu’s Shin Shoryuken and Shinku Hadoken final smashes will be returning, both of which look generally the same as previous.
- The Ifrit summon will definitely show up on the Midgar stage.
- The song ‘Let the Battles Begin!’ from the Wii U and 3DS games will return.
- The Omnislash final smash will be returning and looks generally the same as previous.
- A new arrangement of the song ‘Lost in Thoughts All Alone’ from Fire Emblem: Fates will appear in the game.
- The Torrential Roar final smash will be returning, and looks generally the same as previous.

There is also a Music page that shows a couple of new songs that will be added into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Added to the ones we already know about, there is ‘Bomb Rush Blush,’ which is a new arrangement of a Splatoon song, and ‘Brinstar Depths,’ which is a new arrangement of a song from Super Metroid.
One final speculatory note, the character page for R.O.B., unlike every other character page, doesn’t have a stage attached to it. The reason why is unknown, but it could mean that we’re going to see a brand new stage for R.O.B. based on one of his games that has yet to be announced – Gyromite or Stack Up, perhaps. In the past, his home stages have been Mario Bros. and Wrecking Crew, so he is definitely past due a stage themed around his own games.
That’s everything new that we’ve managed to spot from the Super Smash Bros. website so far. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find a trace of the Poke Floats stage from Melee. Hopefully, that one is announced soon. The website is being updated daily, so there’s sure to be plenty of new details for us to eat up leading to the game’s launch on December 7.
