Recommended Videos

Horizon Zero Dawn presents players with a beautiful world to explore, and you’ll seldom find a view that you can simply walk right past and forget about. That’s where you’ll want to check out Horizon Zero Dawn’s photo mode, so you can immortalize your favorite panoramic views of cloud-topped mountains, sun soaked deserts, and lush green fields and share them with your friends.

In order to use photo mode in Horizon Zero Dawn, simply make sure that whatever you want to capture is within your view on the screen and then press the Options button on your DualShock 4 to pause the game. From here, go down to photo mode.

You’ll now have a bunch of different sliders and effects you can utilize to perfect the look and style of your photo. You can even change the time of day in your photo to nail that dramatic sunset over the snowy mountains in the distance. Using the left and right sticks, and L2 and R2 to crane down and up respectively, you can also move the camera until you find the perfect angle.

Once you’re happy with your setup in photo mode, simply press X to hide the HUD and then press the Share button on your controller to capture the image.

That’s all you need to do to use photo mode and snap beautiful shots in Horizon Zero Dawn. For more tips, tricks, and help for the game, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki guide.
