This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

E3 2019 has been relatively tame for the most part, but Nintendo continued to keep fans excited with an explosive Direct. Here’s every new game Nintendo announced at E3 2019.

Contra: Rogue Corps

We haven’t seen a new Contra game in years, so this is actually pretty huge. The trailer revealed its cast of characters: Kaiser, Hungry Beast, Ms. Harakiri, the Gentleman, and Aero Captain.

It looks like Konami’s looking to get back into the mainstream spotlight yet again, and revealing a new Contra game, along with bringing the classics to the Switch is a good first step.

Panzer Dragoon

Panzer Dragoon was originally released in 1995, and it’s getting a full remake. On-rails shooters aren’t exactly the most popular genre in the industry in this day and age, but it’s always nice to see a classic title get some love.

Empire of Sin

Empire of Sin was one of the more interesting games unveiled during Nintendo’s E3 2019 Direct. This is a mafia-themed, noir style strategy game that should be a nice fit for the Switch.

No More Heroes III

Fans have been waiting for this one for years, and Suda51 finally delivered. Unlike Travis Strikes Again, No More Heroes III is a new entry in the mainline series and will be considered canon. We didn’t really see any gameplay, but it’s good to have Travis Touchdown back again.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics

To tie in with the upcoming Netflix series, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics is, well, a tactical turn-based game where you move your units around on a grid while trying to rout the enemy forces.

Trials of Mana

After Square Enix revealed that we were getting new SaGa games, we didn’t think they could surprise us any further. Then they go ahead and reveal a new Mana game, titled Trials of Mana.

This underrated JRPG series is finally getting a home on the Switch, and it’s looking promising so far.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sequel

Easily the biggest surprise of E3 2019, Nintendo decided to casually announce that they were working on a direct sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

From what we saw of the teaser trailer, we’ll be going back to that same version of Hyrule in BOTW, and it looks like Link and Zelda will now be traveling together. Zelda herself getting so much focus in the trailer gives us hope that she’ll be a more central character in the story.
