Call of Duty: WW2 Squad

Sledgehammer Games is responsible for 2017’s dose of Call of Duty action and it comes in the form of WWII. The title is set to take the series back to its World War II roots, with players storming the beaches of Normandy and fighting the Axis forces in Western Europe in the single-player campaign.

Of course, with this being a Call of Duty title, there’s also the comprehensive multiplayer offerings alongside the campaign, too. Headquarters is an all-new addition to Call of Duty’s multiplayer, giving players a social space to mess around in between matches, and share each other’s accomplishments such as Prestiging or leveling up.

To round things off, there will also be an all-new Zombies mode for some of that classic, frantic co-op action. Though details have remained somewhat scarce on the mode, we do know that the game will have both a casual story experience, as well as plenty of Easter eggs for hardcore fans.

Need for Speed: Payback (Nov. 10)

XBOX ONE GAMES TO HAVE ON YOUR RADAR IN NOVEMBER 2017

After the rather lackluster 2015 Need for Speed reboot, EA and Ghost Games’ racing title returns to our screens once more on Nov. 10. Set in the underworld of Fortune Valley, players will set out on a quest for vengeance against the cartel known as The House. However, rather than just playing as one character, you’ll be taking control of a number of different characters to take on challenges, win races, and complete missions in order to boost your standing in Fortune Valley and take down The House once and for all.

To do that, Need for Speed: Payback has a comprehensive tuning system allowing players to tune and tweak their ride until it perfectly suits their driving style and a roster of bad-ass cars, too. If you’ve been looking for a game that channels the Fast and Furious movies, this may be the closest we’ll get for a while.

L.A. Noire: Remastered (Nov. 14)

XBOX ONE GAMES TO HAVE ON YOUR RADAR IN NOVEMBER 2017

Originally released back in 2011 on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, L.A Noire told the story of Cole Phelps, a detective in LA busy chasing down leads, searching for clues, and interrogating witnesses in order to uncover a city-wide scandal.

Though its ending was somewhat divisive and its storytelling was somewhat linear in comparison to other titles at the time, L.A. Noire is still a mighty fun detective adventure. If you’ve ever fancied yourself a bit of a sleuth and never got around to playing the game, the Remastered edition is well worth picking up.

Not only will it come with all of the DLC and extra content, the visuals will be enhanced to make use of the Xbox One’s power. Plus, if you have an Xbox One X, you’ll get to witness this neo-noir crime story unfold in wonderful 4K.

Star Wars Battlefront II (Nov. 17)

Star Wars Battlefront II

When DICE’s Star Wars Battlefront released in 2015, many fans couldn’t wait to immerse themselves in epic scale multiplayer matches in iconic Star Wars locales. Yet, while this was all well and good, the absence of a single-player campaign left many fans disappointed. Combine that with the Season Pass which divided fans from playing multiplayer matches together, and there was certainly room for improvement.

And that’s exactly what EA and DICE look to have done with Battlefront II. Players will be able to step into the shoes of Commander Iden Versio, an Imperial Special Forces group leader known as Inferno Squad. The campaign spans a 30-year period and covers the events that took place between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. On top of that, there’s no Season Pass this time around, meaning all future content coming to the game will be absolutely free. With plenty of space combat and blaster battles to be had, Star Wars Battlefront II is shaping up to a must-have for Star Wars fans.

The Sims 4 (Nov. 17)

XBOX ONE GAMES TO HAVE ON YOUR RADAR IN NOVEMBER 2017

The Sims have hit console before, sure. Back in the PS2 era, we had things like The Sims: Bustin’ Out, or Urbz, but it was never the full-fat The Sims PC experience that still captivates players for hours at a time to this day. The Sims 4, however, aims to rectify that, bringing the near exact same experience that PC players have been enjoying for years now to both the Xbox One and PC.

Build a house, decorate it however you like, and control just about every element of your Sims’ lives to allow them to flourish and prosper as people. Or, you know, you could just make their lives an absolute nightmare if you get your kicks that way. We’re not judging here!

It’s also worth noting that expansions will be making their way to the console versions of The Sims 4, too, so you’ll never be left too far behind the PC crowd.
