Best Nintendo Switch Games in October 2018
Mega Man 11 (Oct. 2)
October 2018 is a big month, and Mega Man 11 is definitely one of the best Nintendo Switch games you need to keep an eye out for.
After the disappointment that was Mighty No. 9, Capcom is taking matters into its own hands and bringing the iconic blue bomber back to mainstream gaming.
This also marks the first time the Mega Man franchise will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, and from what we played at E3, it definitely looks like a great fit.
Mega Man 11 introduces a few newbie-friendly mechanics such as the gear system, which can be very helpful in clearing tougher levels.
There are also different difficulty modes to choose from, in case the game gets to be a bit too much to handle.
However, Mega Man 11 is still very much a tough platformer game, and you can absolutely play without those handicaps to get the full experience.

Super Mario Party (Oct. 5)
Super Mario Party is one of the major Switch releases for October 2018, and for good reason, too. Just in case you’re not aware, the Mario Party series are titles with a collection of mini-games that you can play in a local group setting.
Whether you want to work together with friends to achieve an objective, or compete with each other to see who can get a top score, there’s ton of fun to be had with Mario Party.
Super Mario Party marks the series’ debut on the Switch as well, and we’re definitely excited to see what Nintendo comes up with this time.
With the game’s mainstream appeal, and the fact that you can play this even with people who aren’t into video games, this is easily one of the best Nintendo Switch games to look out for in October.

The World Ends With You: Final Remix (Oct. 12)
The World Ends With You was considered one of the best games released on the 3DS all those years ago, and the Final Remix port is almost certainly one of the best Nintendo Switch games to keep an eye out for this month.
Developed by Square Enix, The World Ends With You is a JRPG set in modern-day Tokyo.
Taking control of protagonist Neku, players are forced to survive a deadly game with a group of other teenagers.
Along the way, Neku himself starts to develop as a character and come out of his shell as well.
Final Remix brings all of that JRPG goodness to the Switch, along with some extra story content and redone music.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas (Oct. 16)
Ubisoft is quickly becoming one of the Switch’s biggest supporters, and they’re continuing that trend with Starlink: Battle for Atlas.
This is an action-adventure game with toys-to-life elements, where players will explore the Atlas system while trying to stop the evil Grax from abusing ancient technology.
In Starlink, players will get to explore the system, and also form alliances with different factions.
Exploration is definitely one of the key focuses of this game, and planets will be filled with different flora and fauna you can interact with.
And if you like customization and variety, there’s a ton of that when it comes to personalizing your own ship. Starlink definitely has the potential to be one of the best Nintendo Switch games to release this month.

Dark Souls Remastered (Oct. 19)
Dark Souls needs no introduction at this point, but it’s still exciting to see that From Software’s popular game is finally coming to the Switch in October. That said, it’s still worth noting that Dark Souls Remastered on Switch is a little different from its console counterparts, which released earlier this year.
The Switch version runs at 30fps in both docked and handheld modes, and while it does get all of the nice quality of life improvements, it’s definitely not as impressive as the console versions in terms of graphics.
Still, getting to play Dark Souls on a portable device is pretty amazing. If you’re new to the series, this is definitely a great entry point.
Players will take control of the Chosen Undead, who’s tasked with exploring the fallen kingdom of Lordran, and ringing two bells in an effort to rekindle the flame.
And those are our picks for the best Nintendo Switch games to have on your radar in October 2018. If you’re looking for a full list of all Switch games releasing this month, we’ve got you covered as well.
