Days Gone is finally out and although the open world third-person zombie shooter left us feeling a bit disappointed, we still can’t get over how beautiful and realistic the setting of the game is.
Taking place in the Pacific Northwest, the world of Days Gone is simply breathtaking and thanks to the game’s wonderful photo mode, players have taken some very impressive pictures that make the zombie-infested world just a little bit less scary.
Let’s take a look at some of the best pics that we found on the internet, starting with the motorcycle that plays a huge role in Days Gone.
Deacon’s Ride
Deacon’s motorcycle in Days Gone is extremely customizable, allowing you to switch up the colors, the tires, upgrade its durability and it also gets you from point A to point B much quicker. You can also mow down enemies, but you have to be careful because your bike can easily break down if it takes too much damage.
This photo from Reddit user, killercillian, gives us a closer look at Deacon’s bike in front of a busted down gas station. As you can see, the station is out of order with no gas available to pump at all, but hey, at least the bike looks really pretty in front of the destroyed building.
Look at That Grass
In this Days Gone photo taken by Reddit user, ShawnDawn, it gives us a detailed look at the detailed grass and plants blooming from the ground along some train tracks.
We see Deacon carrying an ax with his motorcycle parked beside him in what seems to be a tranquil area free of Freakers. Deacon has probably just killed a whole bunch of Freakers with that ax of his or he might just be posing for the photo like some sort of post-apocalyptic model –either way, we love the low angle of the photo and the blades of grass present here.
Video Game or Real Life?
Days Gone might be uninspiring and stars a character who doesn’t make any sense, but you cannot deny that the visuals in this game are astounding.
As you can see from this pic that was taken on a PS4 Pro by a Resetera user, the snow on the ground along with the sunset and nearby plants looks stunning. If someone were to show me this picture randomly, I would not have guessed that it was taken using Days Gone’s photo mode –just look at that snow on the ground!
What a Beautiful Day
Deacon overlooking the forests of the Pacific Northwest from atop this tower provides us with an astounding view alongside a sunset that gives us many feels.
Even though there are tons of Freakers and other enemies out there trying to kill Deacon, it’s nice that he can appreciate the world around him amidst all of the danger and horror surrounded him.

You Better Run
While there are many beautiful views in Days Gone for the player to admire, there are still plenty of Freakers roaming around that will ruin your day and make you run for your life.
Deacon St. John seems to have gotten himself into quite the predicament, as you can see from the photo above. Taken by a user on Resetera, this in-game photo shows us just how terrifying and deadly the Freakers can be. From the look of Deacon’s face, you can tell that he is not having a good time.
Boozer’s Headshot
Deacon’s best friend and biker buddy in Days Gone, Boozer, is one guy that you should not mess with. The tattoos that are plastered all over his head make him look really rough and tough, but deep down Boozer is actually a really great guy who brings much-needed humor into the story of Days Gone.
This black and white headshot of Boozer taken by nolifebr shows just how detailed the character models are in Days Gone. You can see the intricate stitches on his jacket, the tiny hairs that are part of his scruffy beard, and his piercing eyes.
The Writing on the Wall
When the humans in Days Gone get bored of fighting off Freakers and other dangerous humans, why not partake in some art? This cement wall filled with graffiti shows off a bunch of colorful markings and what looks like, name of gangs or something.
I would stay away from this wall if I were you as somebody has probably “called it” already, but this photo taken by a Resetera user gives a glimpse of the activities that people participate in when there’s nothing else exciting to do.
Have you guys taken any awesome pictures using the photo mode? If so, comment down below so we can take a look at them!
