New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe (Release Date: Jan. 11)

Following in the footsteps of titles like Mario Kart 8 and Bayonetta 2, Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe brings all of the stellar gameplay of the Wii U title to Nintendo Switch, with a few new features for good measure.
Featuring a slew of levels to conquer, players can take the role of Mario and Nintendo characters alike. Each can gain new forms thanks to the many power-ups available throughout the game, ranging from mushrooms to fire and ice flowers.
New to the game, though, are features like the Super Crown, an exclusive power-up for Toadette that transforms her into a peach-like character. Doing so allows her to glide across gaps just as peach does, though it doesn’t allow her to cling to surfaces like other power-ups.
There’s sure to be plenty more to uncover, though it’s tough to say whether any of it will have the same impact among fans as the potential pairing of the super crown and Bowser did a few months back.

Fortunately, they captured a member of the raiding party, providing a chance for Clementine and the others to find their friends and take their revenge.
Now, they’ll have to brave the wilds and walkers to reunite with their friends, or else succumb to the ever more hostile world around them.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes (Release Date: Jan. 18)

Travis Touchdown is back once again, and this time he’s doing things a little differently than in past entries.
Sucked into the Death Drive MK-II game console during a confrontation with the assassin Badman, Travis is tasked with beating each game before Badman and recovering six Death Balls.
If he succeeds, he’ll be granted one wish and a way out of the demonic game console. If he fails, he’ll be trapped forever, forced to play games of life or death for all eternity.
To this end, players must guide Travis through the game’s worlds, which switch between a top down perspective and that of past No More Heroes titles.
It’s zany, odd and everything players would expect from a new Suda51 title, as well as a sure fire way to spice up one’s Nintendo Switch library.

Resident Evil 2 Remake (Release Date: Jan. 25)

Highly anticipated by not only fans of the Resident Evil series but of horror games in general, the Resident Evil 2 Remake is poised to take players back into the most harrowing of the series’ zombie outbreaks.
Set in the secluded mountain town of Raccoon City, players must guide the two protagonists Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield, as well as a smattering of other characters, to safety.
Doing so will require careful use of the game’s resources and split-second reflexes against the game’s redesigned bosses.
Every aspect of the title, from the sound design to the aesthetic of the title’s areas and creatures, has been fully remade and given a graphical facelift, now on par with the best current-gen tech has to offer.

Kingdom Hearts 3 (Release Date: Jan. 29)

After nearly 13 years, the Kingdom Hearts series will finally receive a mainline entry, and it promises to be a climactic conclusion to the games’ story arc.
After uncovering Xehanort’s plot to undo the balance between light and darkness, Sora and his friends must gather the seven key blade wielders to overcome the 13 darknesses.
Doing so will mean traveling to far gone places and reuniting with long lost friends, while also doing battle with allies that have turned their backs on the light.
Players will have access to a full array of gameplay and mechanics honed over years of the series’ existence, from summons and magic to the arena spanning flow motion movements.
It’ll be a finale fans won’t want to miss, and with any luck a fitting end to the long running series’ epic saga.
