It seems that the PlayStation Store has a sale every single week and just wants to empty our wallets of our hard-earned cash but we just cannot resist these inexpensive PSVR games now, can we?
Yes, the sale this time around centers on PSVR games to celebrate the third anniversary of the virtual reality headset.
The sale has some huge discounts, up to 70% off, but make sure to grab them soon, as the sale will come to an end on Oct. 22.
If you’re not sure which games are the best to purchase, we have a handy list down below for you to check out!
Resident Evil 7
- Original Price: $19.99
- Sale Price: $14.99 (25% off)
Resident Evil 7 acted as sort of a soft reboot for Capcom’s renowned survival horror franchise. After releasing lackluster titles like Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 –two titles that favored action over actual horror– the team went back to the drawing board and thought about what made RE great to begin with.
Resident Evil 7 brought back the isolation and horror that was present in the classic games, along with challenging puzzles and terrifying boss fights.
The normal version of RE7 is already intense and scary but putting that PS VR headset on and playing it that way takes it to a whole other level that most cannot even begin to think about.
But don’t worry, you don’t have to play the game in VR, it’s simply an option.
If you enjoy spooky games and possibly peeing your pants, RE7 in VR is the way to go and one of the best games to pick up during this PSVR anniversary sale.
PlayStation VR Worlds
- Original Price: $14.99
- Sale Price: $7.49 (50% off)
PlayStation VR Worlds is the perfect little experience that’s great for showing off your new PSVR headset. This demo disk of sorts contains five high-quality games that all vary in genre and feel.
One of the games has you diving deep into the ocean waters with vicious sharks swimming around you, making you feel as if you’re isolated in unknown territory.
Another, called London Heist, lets you use the move controllers to shoot bad guys while you partake in a heist that’ll make you feel as if you’re in a blockbuster action flick.
VR Worlds shows off all of the neat tricks that PlayStation’s headset can do and is a good start if you’re looking to purchase your first game for the platform.
At a price of under $8, it’s definitely a good pick during the PSVR anniversary sale.
Tetris Effect
- Original Price: $39.99
- Sale Price: $23.99 (40% off)
You all know Tetris, the classic puzzle game that really hasn’t changed much since its inception.
Tetris Effect in VR still has that familiar experience but takes things to the next level, and after playing it, you might not want Tetris in any other format.
Tetris Effect has over 30 stages for you to play through in its campaign and each level has its own theme and music track that can range from island beats and synthpop to hardcore drums and relaxing sounds of waves crashing against a shore.
It’s wild and it’s honestly one of the most immersive and gorgeous puzzle games that I’ve ever played.
Sprint Vector
- Original Price: $29.99
- Sale Price: $14.99 (50% off)
Sprint Vector takes all of the best parts of those wacky game shows with athletic-based challenges but without all of the sweating and humiliation.
By using the PS Move controllers, you can jump, fly, and run your way to victory and compete with other players online to make your way up the leaderboards.
If you’re looking for a game to keep yourself active and in motion, Sprint Vector should do the trick.
Eagle Flight
- Original Price: $19.99
- Sale Price: $5.99 (70% off)
Eagle Flight lets you experience the feeling of soaring the skies as an eagle as you explore Paris from a different perspective.
You can visit historic landmarks, immerse yourself in the culture of France, and even join up with some feathered friends in an online mode and battle in thrilling dogfights and such.
It’s a jaw-dropping experience that can only be found in VR and is a nice choice if you’re on the hunt for a short but satisfying title.
Superhot
- Original Price: $24.99
- Sale Price: $14.99 (40% off)
Superhot is a minimalistic action game where time only moves when you move, letting you think carefully about what enemies to shoot and how to go about shooting them.
Outnumbered from the get-go, you need to use your head and the weapons from your fallen foes to take care of them all before they can get to you.
It’s a game that’s hard to explain but once you get your hands on it (or your head), you will fully understand the premise here.
It’s a beautiful, slow-motion gunfight game that’ll blow your mind when you play in PSVR and now that it is on sale, what are you waiting for?
Skyrim PS VR
- Original Price: $59.99
- Sale Price: $21.59 (64% off)
Bethesda’s fantasy epic, Skyrim, is already a pretty engrossing experience that has led players to spend dozens, if not hundreds of hours in the world of Tamriel.
If you’ve to think you’ve covered every single inch of this game, then playing in VR will take that experience up a notch.
By playing Skyrim in first-person with the PSVR headset, you will feel as if you are a warrior on the most important quest of your life. Taking down dragons, casting spells, and completing quests will be such an impressive experience that it’ll be hard to stop playing.
Skyrim PSVR is seeing such a huge discount on the PSN Store that it’s hard not to recommend this to anyone who’s even a bit interested.
