A new mod out last month allows even more customization of your playable character by adding t-shirt content packs to the character screen. The mod itself doesn’t come with t-shirts in it, but content packs can be downloaded such as this World Cup 2018 shirt collection so your character can sport them on their farm. If you click on the “Requirements” page for the mod you can find other t-shirt content packs to download as well.

SMAPI MOD LOADER UPDATE

This modding platform titled SMAPI allows you to download mods easily into Stardew Valley, and received a 2.6 update last month so it works with the Stardew Valley 1.3 beta. It works with GOG and Steam achievements for the game, and is compatible with Mac, Windows, and Linux. Just make sure you run the game at least once before downloading SMAPI, and here are specific instructions whether you’re on Mac, Windows, or Linux for installation. Uploaded on June 16, this updated version has already seen over 22,000 downloads on Nexus Mods with almost 50,000 total views of the page.

UPDATED CHARACTER CUSTOMIZATION

Another character customization mod out last month provides players with an updated version of the extremely popular 2017 “Get Dressed” mod so it works in Stardew Valley version 1.3. In the original mod that’s since been downloaded almost 75,000 times on Nexus Mods, a dresser was added to the players bedroom and allowed access to tons of new character customization options other than what’s in the base game, especially a variety of make-up options. In the newer mod out in June, you can access the custom menu by either having at least a four heart relationship with the Wizard to use the WizardShrine, or using the dresser located in the farmhouse.

MORE SECRET WOODS

A new mod adds a new whole area to the bottom of the Secret Woods. Complete with some stumps, bushes, trees, hidden lake, and abandoned house, you can access this area by going through a hidden path located at the bottom of the screen when you are in the normal Secret Woods. The lake even comes with gold areas to fish in, and if you right-click on the old house you can see some in-game stats like days spent in-game, steps taken, gifts given, and more.

SEASONAL OUTFITS FOR NPCS

If you are tired at looking at the same old sprites for NPCs, then this mod is the one for you. It adds tons of new outfits for every Stardew Valley NPC based on the season of the year in your game. There are new sprites for full-body NPCs and their heads during dialog as seen above with the variations for Haley. Outfits will even change for the rain so characters look more responsive to the weather. Future updates are said to be planned for even more outfits for characters on the beach, Spirit’s Eve celebrations, and maternity leave wear for female characters.

MORE FEMALE HAIRSTYLES

For even more customization, this mod adds 32 new hairstyles for female characters with even a few with bright colors. The hairstyles range from short bobs, to ponytails and long flowing curls. The two colorful options include a rainbow look seen above, and a turquoise set of pigtails to look like Hatusne Miku. Just make sure to turn the brightness level to 0 if you want to see the colors of the colorful hair.

PRISMATIC TOOLS

This new mod adds prismatic sprinklers and tools to Stardew Valley that perform even better than the previously once best iridium tools. To craft them you need prismatic bars, which can be made by putting prismatic shards in the furnace. Each shard will make five bars, and upgrading tools will require three bars while sprinklers will require two. This changes the tools so that the hoe and watering can have an almost doubled radius of the iridium versions at a 5×7 radius, the axe and pickaxe can one shot trees and rocks, the sprinklers cover a 7×7 radius, and they also light up and scare away crows as well. The sprinkler recipe can only be learned after reaching the level nine farming skill.

DELUXE-AUTO GRABBER

This mod improves the use of the auto-grabber in various different ways. The mod now allows its use in chicken coops, to harvest crops within a certain range, and will automatically collect all forage everyday when placed in a certain position within the game. It will make the morning walk-around your farm much more efficient, saving you time to increase relationships, explore, or do whatever else you wish in Stardew Valley.

EXPANDED GREENHOUSES

If your greenhouse has ever felt a bit cramped than what you envisioned for it, then make sure to download this mod in order to expand that space to fit more crops. There are three types to choose from, with the third and largest type seen above providing the most space for you to get creative with what you want to grow year round.

MULTIPLAYER EMOTES

Communicate more in multiplayer with a new mod that offers a set of emotes functional with draggable interface. The emotes appear in a little speech bubble over your head, and range from hearts, tears, and smiley faces to actual items like game controllers. These are accessible through a small icon located on the far left hand side of the screen while in multiplayer mode.
