There are a number of special chests scattered all across the realms that can only be opened by solving puzzles or breaking hidden seals. If you’re having trouble opening this specific one, we have all the details you need. Here’s how to open the Veithurgard Nornir rune chest in God of War.
How to Open Veithurgard Nornir Rune Chest
Veithurgard is an area that can be accessed fairly early on in the game. As soon as the World Serpent emerges from the Lake of Nine and lowers the water level for the first time, Veithurgard will become accessible. It’s located near Stone Falls, behind the large metal doors that can be opened by turning a wheel mechanism on the nearby beach.
To open the Nornir rune chest in Veithurgard, you’ll need to find three hidden seals and destroy them. To save you some trouble wandering around in a game of hide-and-seek, we have all three rune seal locations right here.
One rune seal is in plain sight on the opposite side of the cliff that’s right behind the Nornir chest. It’s right next to a fallen log that looks like an overpass.
Another rune seal can be found in the round clearing full of enemies in the lower level below the area that the Nornir chest is on. This one is tough to see, as it’s hidden behind the stone structures that surround the clearing. Here’s where to look:
The final rune seal is on the other side of the gate that’s next to the Nornir chest. To get to it, you’ll need to explore Veithurgard and get to the other side of the gate since it only opens from the side that the rine seal is on.
Once you’ve destroyed all of the rune seals, go ahead and claim a Horn of Blood Mead from the chest next to the now-open gate.
That’s everything you need to know about how to open the Veithurgard Nornir rune chest in God of War. Be sure to check out our guide wiki for more tips, tricks, and other useful info on the game.
