The next instalment in EA Sports’ long-running FIFA series has finally arrived, and alongside the expected roster updates, the next-gen versions of FIFA 22 also introduces HyperMotion technology to the series. This allows for more decisions to be made per second, giving attackers more awareness of their surroundings, allowing them to make smarter runs in build-up play, in turn, granting you to the ability pull off more realistic and devastating offensive plays. In this guide, we’ll run you through the FIFA 22 install size on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PS5, so you can prepare your storage drives,
What the Install Size Is For FIFA 22 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 & PS5
According to the install size of FIFA 22’s EA Access Trial on Xbox Series X, we can confirm that the game weighs in at 32.4GB on Microsoft’s consoles.
PlayStation Game Size over on Twitter claims that the PS5 version comes in at 51.909 GB without the Day One patch, which could reduce the file size as much as it could increase it.
We’d expect the install sizes for FIFA 22 on both Xbox One and PS4 to be around the same size as their next-gen counterparts. Thanks to the inclusion of SSDs in both the PS5 and Series X|S, despite using higher-resolution assets in FIFA 22, they’re able to reuse more of them, decreasing their footprint of the game on your system storage.
The PS4 and Xbox One versions will have lower-resolution assets, but will not be able to reuse as many of them as they use standard Hard Drive Disks (HDDs).
It’s worth noting that the install size could change throughout the course of the year as EA Sports updates the game with new content and addresses bugs. However, based on previous years’ titles, the changes to the footprint of the game on your storage devices tends to be minimal and barely noticeable.
