Where to Find Gengar in New Pokemon Snap

First off, you’ll need to head over to the cave course on Durice Island. Gengar can only be found here, so don’t waste your time looking around elsewhere. You’re also going to need Illumina Orbs to make this Pokemon come out of its hiding spot.

As you go through this course you may notice some black holes appear. This is where you’ll be able to encounter Gengar. Just make sure that you’re ready to toss some Illumina Orbs at this point.

When you see the black holes appear, go ahead and toss an Illumina Orb towards them. This should make Gengar appear so you can finally snap a picture of this elusive Pokemon. Then get out your camera and start to snap quickly or else you might miss the perfect shot.
