Changing Jobs in Bravely Default 2

At the start of the game, you’ll only have access to a handful of jobs, but before long you’ll start getting access to more jobs than you know what to do with. The great thing about Bravely Default 2 is that it allows you to change up your jobs almost anytime you want.

To do this, bring up your menu with the X button and choose the Jobs option. From here, use the L and R buttons to cycle between your four characters and use the d-pad to select the job you want to equip for that character.

Press the A button to confirm your selection, then choose whether you want to equip it as a main or sub-job. Each character can hold two jobs at once, allowing you to have some diversity in your party composition.

However, do note that you’ll only gain JP for your main job. If you want abilities on another job, you’ll need to set it as your main, gain JP for it, then set it as your sub-job if you still want to use its active abilities. Passive abilities, however, can be equipped even without the jobs.

Finally, while you can change jobs whenever you want, you won’t be able to do so in the middle of combat. You’ll be locked into whatever job composition you’ve set for your party, so make sure to prepare accordingly before any major battles.

That’s all you need to know about how to change jobs in Bravely Default 2. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
