Developed and published by Young Horses, Bugsnax is a first-person adventure/puzzle game that has you solving the mystery behind Elizabert Megafig’s disappearance while also collecting different types of Bugsnax for residents of the island. One of these snacks that you’ll need to collect for a quest are called Orange Peelbugs and they’re not the easiest thing to collect. Here’s how to catch Orange Peelbugs in Bugsnax.
How to Catch Orange Peelbugs in Bugsnax
When you eventually make it to the beach area of Snaktooth island, you’ll eventually find a resident named Gramble, who wants you to find three lost Orange Peelbugs hiding over by the ocean.
If you head over to the sandy parts of the area, you should see the Orange Peelbugs hiding in logs, but they won’t come out unless you use a specific tactic.
Standing near one of the log’s openings, press and hold the L1 button to open up your tool kit and then use the right stick to choose the Buggy Ball option. Now press R2 to deploy the ball and then go to the other side of the log.
Before you hit the R2 button to guide the ball into the log to knock the Peelbug out, go ahead and set up a trap. You want to make sure you can easily catch it once it runs out.
Now that the trap is ready to go, now is the time to guide the Buggy Ball into the log. You should be able to activate your trap with R2 then to catch it.
Make sure to grab the Bugsnak out of the trap before the timer runs out though!
Just repeat this method three times and you’ll have those bugs for Gramble in no time flat.
And that’s all you need to know about how to catch Orange Peelbugs in Bugsnax. For more on the game, check out our scored review here, search Twinfinite or check out our Guide Wiki.
