Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time has arrived and fans of old-school platformers have the opportunity to drop into what many might consider a modern hit from a classic franchise. Like the previous games in the series, Crash 4 contains lots of hidden secrets. In this guide we’re going to go over how to find and get the secret colored Topaz Yellow Gem in Crash 4.

How to Get Topaz Yellow Gem in Crash 4

The colored gems are back in Crash 4 and just like in the PS1 classic games, finding them will unlock hidden areas that you would have not been able to reach without the help of this secret gem. You can think of them as kind of like the colored switches in the Super Mario series.

The secret topaz yellow gem in Crash 4 can be found hidden in the level: Run it Bayou on Mosquito Marsh. It’s located right in the beginning of the level and if you’re on the vehicle it may seem impossible to get to.

The trick is to not go on the water vehicle at the start. Instead, along the right hand side of the canal you’ll see there’s a path that you can jump onto and follow with a well-placed slide and high jump. You’ll need some precise timing of course to bounce off the boxes but follow it along until you reach the moving platform which you can hop off to another platform with boxes on it.

The Topaz Yellow Gem is right above the boxes. Simply jump on them and high jump to get the maximum height and nab the gem.
