If you’re a fan of DONTNOD’s Life Is Strange titles, then chances are you’re already well-aware of Twin Mirror. For those who may not have heard about it, let us fill you in. Players will assume control of investigative journalist Sam, who has returned to his hometown of Basswood, West Virginia. Players must use Sam’s ‘Mind Palace’ to help discover clues and solve the investigation once and for all. With multiple endings to unlock depending on who you talk to and your progress in the investigation, there’s ample room for replaying the game. As such, some players may be wondering what the Twin Mirror release date is.
Twin Mirror Release Date on PS4, Xbox One & PC
Just last month, DONTNOD Entertainment confirmed that the Twin Mirror release date will be Dec. 1, 2020 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
While in the past DONTNOD has tended to opt to release their game’s episodically over the course of a year, that isn’t the case for Twin Mirror.
Instead, when you buy Twin Mirror on Dec. 1 later this year, you’ll be able to play through the entirety of Sam’s adventure in one sitting. No waiting months on end for the next chunk of the story, only to wait another few months. Twin Mirror is a single, whole experience that you can enjoy at whatever pace you see fit.
Is Twin Mirror Coming to Xbox Series X & PS5?
No, at the moment DONTNOD has not announced any official next-gen version of Twin Mirror.
That being said, due to the Xbox Series X and PS5 both being backward compatible, players should be able to play Twin Mirror on their next-gen systems. They just won’t necessarily look or play significantly better.
