It is kind of self-explanatory, but a nosegrind is a grind with the skater’s weight firmly on the front foot. The back end of the board will be in the air behind them and the front wheels will be firmly planted on the rail or edge that’s being grinded.

How to Nosegrind in Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2

Unlike the likes of the Bluntslide, you don’t need to be grinding before you do a nosegrind. All you need to do is press the right buttons when beginning a grind.

What you need to do is press up on the d-pad (you can also push the left stick up if that’s how you prefer to play) and Triangle if you’re on PS4 (Y on Xbox One) right before you hit the rail you want to grind on.

Then, your skater will nosegrind along it. It’s a little trickier to control than a standard grind, as you’d expect from a trick that sees less of the board on the rail, but you’ll be rewarded by continuing your combo multiplier and getting additional points. Below is a table that goes over exactly what the inputs are on each system Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 is on.
