Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Lite: How to Get, How Many Dungeons, & More

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition is finally available for the PS4 and Nintendo Switch. The game was lauded for its local co-op aspect back when it was on the GameCube, but the remaster features full online multiplayer so you can play with your friends wherever they are. Here’s everything you need to know about Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Lite.

How to Get Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Lite

The Lite version of the game is completely free, and it essentially serves as a demo so that players can try it out before deciding whether they want to commit to it. Anyone can download it, and you simply need to access either the PlayStation Store or Switch eShop from your console, and search “Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Lite.”

The free version of the game should pop up immediately, and you’ll be able to download it at no charge at all.

The Lite version gives you access to the first three dungeons of the game. In addition to that, you can create your characters and choose from any of the eight available professions. This should allow you to get a good feel of the game before deciding whether you want to buy the full thing. You can also access the multiplayer features with other Lite players.

Unlocking the Full Game

However, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Lite also has a pretty nifty feature that allows you to play beyond the first three dungeons. If you get into an online multiplayer session with another player who owns the full game, you can essentially play the entire thing with them.

There is one caveat to this, however. Whenever you join a host’s session, you do not get dungeon or story progress in your own game. You can still keep items and artifacts you find, but you’ll need to actually buy the game and play through dungeons in your own session if you want to complete it yourself.

That’s all you need to know about how Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Lite works. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
